Here are a couple more clips. These are not Hit Reg problems as all three shots are misses. Instead they show how the PPC trajectory is unpredictable and probably leads to some of the Hit Reg complaints as someone said above.

In the first clip the PPC round strikes the ridge but it would seem the ridge was far enough away that the angle should have allowed the PPC to pass over it. The PPC trajectory is low due to being arm mounted of course, but it seems too low to me.

The second clip shows a shot clipping the ridge and a second shot where the reticle is barely off the shoulder but the PPC flies cleanly above it.

Maybe there are some geometry issues with the Summoner and maybe other mechs with arm mounts like the Warhammer or Marauder. If anyone wants to chime in please do.

This was from yesterday in a Summoner with both PPCs in left arm. The reticle looks centered on his back but the shot misses slightly left. My first thought is it was due to Summoner geometry with the offset cockpit, but the second shot seems to go where the reticle was aimed. Second thought was that slight drop coming down off a rock made it act like a JJ shot, but I definitely was not using the JJ at the time.

Edit: This is not typical though. I can't say I've noticed a change in hitreg either way.

Looking at the video you shot between the arm and torso hole. The ppc miss was a legitimate miss.

Probably. Even at 1/4 speed it looks like the reticle was on a part of the mech when the PPC projectile exited. I guess it just looks like that due to lag. Either way this isn't really a Hit Reg problem as I agree it went between arm and torso.

Ok last one and I'll stop posting these close misses. Even at 1/4 speed this looks like a miss that was called a hit in game. However once I looked at it frame by frame in VLC it is clear that the PPCs go on cooldown while the reticle is on the spiders leg/foot and the shot was legit as he landed.

Edit: Sorry, I lied...just looked at that Rifleman miss frame by frame and the reticle was on the torso when the PPCs were fired. This is a shot of the fist frame that the PPCs went on cooldown. Of course I can't see what happened between frames... I don't have the time to go through the trouble of reprocessing the videos at higher FPS. Guess I'll just call it even. Some close shots hit, some miss.

Yup, PPC's are not an instant damage weapon like lasers. The range and movement of the mech made the PPC miss the same as it would have missed as an AC/5 blast.
