Was just wondering if this could ever be a thing? I'm not even positive if trackIR is implemented in this game, but just the idea of being able to look in one direction while pointing in another, or (oh joy!) arm movement controlled by eyes.
Dare to dream.....

I recently watched a video by SideStrafe where he uses TrackIR with MWO. I don't recall if it aimed his arms or aimed his torso and I'm at work so I can't listen to the video. But anywho, this might have more information that can help you out.

TrackIR and other headtracking doesn't aim anything in this game. It just let's you look around the cockpit. You could hack it to aim, but I wouldn't recommend it. Aiming with your head sucks as long as the screen isn't attached to your face like in VR. Aiming with your eyes might be another matter, though. Aiming your torso in one direction and then moving the arm crosshair across the screen with your eyes. That would be great.
Later generation VR glasses could have eye tracking as well. They are planning to use it to render just the part the user is currently looking at perfectly while other areas of the screen are rendered with less detail to save GPU power. This could be used for aiming too.
Edit: Ah, found it: http://www.getfove.com/
