....For a someone with an founders account never to apply for the closed beta at ANY stage in their profile, even after Aug 7. And to not play the game until October

I say this because I imagine almost everyone even with a regular account to have applied for closed beta and potentially every single founder?


Just want to make sure my profile will behave the same prompt me for the same options etc further down the line as if I had started on Aug 7 along with the rest of the Earth™ so I font miss out on anything.

Read this Post for some new information out of the Beta forums (don't ask me how it got here).

To me it sounds like you'll be fine then, sinds Open Beta will propably not start very close to 7th August.
But since there is no date for Open Beta yet, who knows?

Why not just apply for Beta, it literally takes 5 minutes at most and does no harm. You will have a chance to get used to the system before the masses flood the game.

I May consider trying to log in to the game client if advised to do so to make sure it is chugging along but there will be no possibility of gameplay of any sort.

I dont want to somehow leg my founders account with all the changes going on, Ya'know?

I log in and my Atlas has been upgraded to have a monacle, cane and cape.

If you're a founder I believe you're automatically signed up for the beta, but I signed up anyway just to be safe.

You misunderstood. I'd love to but I'm overseas and won't be able to even install the game let alone play it. Besides if I to manage to get a hold of the game client just logging into the account for kicks may activate the 3 month premium account needlessly. At least if you never log in you have a leg to stand on as far as asking support to reset your premium account.

Damn so that means you can try out various configs and blow your $80 In game value without consequences as it will all be reset come open beta. I guess they're behind schedule and couldnt offer no reset after Aug 7.

As your your question/post, MAYBE just maybe the Devs will take into consideration "special situations" for folks such as you that have decided to support this game while KNOWING they may not even have access until even after open Beta and/or "open to the public" (release or open beta or whatever).

Yes you made the decision to give your money knowing you could not be a part of it for some time, but it was a show of faith (in the series, the Devs and MWO) on your part. It may or may not be of your choosing that you are "overseas" (if military may have been ordered to go)
possibly protecting our freedoms and way of life so the rest of us may enjoy such things as MWO.

No no please don't compare me to them so hastily. I am overseas visiting family. and can't really set up a gaming machine.

Ah I was mistaken. I dont know if your premium starts the moment you first log in or the moment the game launches for founders the 7th.
