Blood Pressure elevations, anxiety, bi-polar, etc....

Yes, pug groups are frustrating. Especially in Faction Play right now on the IS side. I myself have been in 41 matches now with only 2 wins... 39 of those were not just losses...but absolute beat downs on our team that seems to play more like a quick match than an organized assault/defense. Yep.... I expect that considering my unit is not active in faction play and hasn't renewed the contract so I can play... I left. So, I make the best of every match...

But.... there are those who are good players and in units... who play regardless if their unit is on or not. They too end up in the scatter matches... They should expect a bad match and deal with it.... but instead....especially this weekend... I have listened to more stressed out and flipping out players on comms dropping F-Bombs on other players...most of which are new players. These people are so angry about losing that they give a bad image to those new players trying to figure out what in the world this game is about...

It is a nice feature to be able to mute.... but seriously guys.... If you are flipping out that hard maybe you need to shut down the rig for an hour or so and chill out (or take your medication). If you could hear yourself on comms you would say to yourself "Man, I really sound like a 2 year old throwing a tantrum about nothing". ....and you do to the rest of us.

So...stop dropping your F-Bombs on other players and screaming into your mic because some aren't as good as you. You aren't playing for a million dollars....you are playing for fun.

End rant...

If you choose to play a game that requires social interaction with other people from a wide swath of social, economic and ethnic diversity you have to resign with dealing with the good and bad that "people" bring with them.

If a player has little tolerance for their fellow man, they should stick with single-player games... It's that simple.

Tried the pug life in CW, I just up and joined a unit after a couple weeks. You're not going to change the folks who pug CW and start running off at the mouth if you're not on the winning side, and even at that.

I for some reason enjoy the pug life over the unit. Gives me more freedom and I usually do just as well no matter the circumstances

If folks can not use google to see which side to play on. I would not rely on them to have many other redeeming features. It was the same for Clan side a week before the patch.

Limit group drops to 4 man and have only 1 contested planet. The system winner is based on captured planets. At least try this simple mode until balanced then add more variables. CW is way too easy to exploit by folks who could care less about the cross dressing costume party of lore/factions.

I enjoy it just fine until I start getting those teammates that are operating a minimal brain capacity.

I strive to be good to spite the baddies who use "it's a game" to justify their inability to learn the game they're playing.

Well, some things are better left unsaid... If not "putting up" with a a player who is an hour old to MWO and running around like a chicken with his head cut off constitutes carpet F-Bombing him on comms/chat ...then ask yourself if that really makes him a better player? The only time I got better at what I was learning when someone was in my face dropping bombs on me was in the Army.... but I really had no choice...

It takes more effort to scream at someone in a video game than it does to help them. If they don't listen...who cares?? You should be good enough to account for his 4 drops of 100dmg right?

This past weekend had some of the worst players online I have ever seen. It also had some of the worst hitreg, ever, too. Both of those combined made for some bad games. I avoided MWO as much as I could.

To all the the players raging in game...

Seriously, it's PUG play. Do your bbes and try to coordinate. If it works, Great! If it doesn't, shrug it off and move on. Font be a jerk to your team. That is just bad sportsmanship and poor character.

I totally agree about this weekend.... By Sunday I was still shell-shocked when I realized how many times I told myself "Oh yea...we are going to get slaughtered" within the first 2 minutes of moving towards a gate or setting up a defense. But I kept grinding man. I actually turned comms off... Wished there was a speech to text in the game lol.

Just report them and move on.

Try-hards that expect comp play in pugs exist in every game; at least in mwo if someone is going full nerd rage in voip, you can mute and report pretty quickly.

*shrugs*

There was a guy on Caustic Valley, complaining with another player on how bad the map looked.

After 3 minutes of berating the map, I told him to "Dude, shut up and just play Mechwarrior:Online".

They shut up, and I got to play a nice game.
