The cougar is my favorite mech, unfortunately it will not be released for a long time if ever. Since we can't get the cougar I would try and find the closest mech to the cougar. I have tried to get the adder as close as a I could get to the cougar prime with two plus lasers and two lrm 10s with 1 ton of ammo and taking my best guess on how much armor to give it. It is not perfect I had to get rid of most of the back armor to about 5-8 which at times makes me die rather quickly. I was wondering if any one else had a different mech or a better build that more resembles the cougar.

based on the loadout listed on Sarna you can outfit a Jenner IIC-3 or any Adder as the Cougar Prime (2 LPL, 2 LRM10) although with the Adder you will have to go rather light on armor.
the problem with making a Cougar from an Adder is the Cougar is only supposed to have a 175 engine rather than the 210 of the Adder. as far as I can see any of the Cougar configs with parts available in timeline can be made from ether the Adder of the Jenner IIC but you do have to go light on armor to fit all that firepower.
the Cougar was supposed to have 5.5 tons of Fero Fibrus armor where as a 35 ton Mech can mount 6.2 in MWO.
The engine + extra heatsinks to take the total to 10 would weigh 2 tons more on the Adder than the Cougar.
the Cougar is only suposed to be the same speed as Clan Heavy Mechs, and as it is an Omnimech there will be no option to put in a larger engine.

The Cougar could get structure and armor buffs to compensate. I really want it to be in the game. There must be a chance, same for the Flea.
Seems PGI have laid the Cougar and Flea on ice for now, well they never said anything about the Cougar (as far as I know) but still.
For now the Locust and Jenner for the IS. The Kit Fox and Adder for the Clans. How to fit the Flea and Cougar among those of similar caliber? Im not sure, though I have a few ideas floating about.
Its the lights I most want to pilot but aint in the game.
