Stopping your assault mech in the middle of a choke point (like the gates of Mordor) will help protect your teammates behind you from incoming enemy fire.

Bringing your mech to a complete stop is a great way to vastly improve your aim. This is especially true in a light mech, since trying to aim while bouncing over terrain at 150kph is difficult.

Well because whoever made the "tips and trick thread *joke version*" is hungry for attention and he does make 3-4 threads about it, so Im guessing he has no friends in real life, sad.

Edit: Oh nevermind, it seems that you're one of them too!

1. LBX cannons are not as good as regular cannons, by default.

2. There are much better options than equipping unquirked PPCs.

3. Machine gun range module is completely useless. SRM range module as well, to lesser extent.

Boat Machineguns and make sure to Chainfire for maximum heat dissipation.

Okay okay, jokes aside, put a flamer or two on your mech if you brawl. The current meta makes overheating enemies legit, especially since most people like the high alpha builds.

If your PUG team mate says push and starts pushing. Sit back with the rest of the team and get the pop corn out.

Be serious and tell the enemy you're dueling at a location. Looking is for wimps.

Alternately, if you're not a good typist or don't want to type, you can always fire all of your lasers straight up as a light show to scare away all of your enemies. Bringing the enemy directly to your position trumps surprise attacks and flanking every time.

Also, always make sure to test your weapons in the drop zone. You'd hate to have weapons that always work the same way suddenly not work at all. It's best to test them on the rear armor of the assault in front of you, just to get some real world data.

If you don't crawl 89m or less away from "Don't Brawl with this Atlas" in your ecm mech, he will TK you for not providing his 40kph slug lrm cover.
