It's something I've requested for a while. More ambient sounds on MWO maps. The sound of wind, rain, thunder, volcanoes, machinery, pumps, car alarms, animals, insects, etc.

Now, unless I'm losing my mind, I do believe PGI map designers went and added some more ambient sounds to both Crimson Strait and Viridian Bog when they fixed the destructible terrain.

It's just a small thing, and I think they could have taken it even further, but I appreciate it anyway.

That weird monster sound on Bog scared the bejesus out of me the first time I heard it. Never noticed it before the last patch so it must be new.

Hm... going to have to check the maps now. Usually the map sounds are so quiet you can only hear them before your 'mech starts up at the beginning of the map. I know Canyon Network had the wind blowing through the canyons but the sound wasn't the greatest IMO, it sort of faded into absolute silence when it stopped and started.
