Ignorant question here, but I've been off MWO for a bit and am just now returning. I noticed that the Panther 10K no longer has ERPPC quirks and instead has standard PPC quirks. Do the standard quirks apply towards the ERPPC weapon as well, or are they only good for PPCs?

Thanks all!

All standard PPC quirks effect ERPPCs, but not the other way around.

I dont think thats how it works.

If its says PPC's then it doesnt do anything to ER's and same to ER quirks.

ER laser quirks dont effect normal lasers, i dont see PPC's being any different.

It was confirmed somewhere that "standard" weapon quirks apply to the ER version as well.

Yeah, I thought I saw that somewhere as well, but I couldn't find it again.

Yeah, basic PPC quirks also affect ER PPCs. BUT, anything that is designated as Md Laser only doesn't impact Md Pulse Lasers. So, same weapon within a single quirk but not same family within a single quirk.

Also, if you hover your cursor over the ERPPC on the mechlab, the PPC quirks show up as affecting it.

Strangely enough, Large Laser Quirks don't seem to affect ER Large Lasers. If you put an ERLL on the PNT-8Z, the Large Laser quirk doesn't show up on it.

Not really, this is just more convoluted mechanics added to this game....

Why they do this i have no idea, why not just label it ER&STDPPC then so we dont have these issues?

Oh Pee Gee Eye, you amaze me more with each new day. Posted Image

The few remaining that have erppc quirks should be changed already
