Does the half second window you have to wait start when you first fire the laser, or after the laser is done firing?

I dont think any lasers trigger ghost heat when you fire just two.

pretty sure it is from the time you fire the first weapon(s)

When you press the button after the fix associated with it some years ago. Doesn't matter how long the beam time is, it is half a second after you press the button to fire.

This timer is reset with every "Fire" command that involves a ghost-heat applicable weapon.
