Its a IS trying to copy the Timberwolf that failed but managed to be a reliable mech anyways throughout the years. Yeah thats all I have to say about it.

Besides wouldn't it be nice to feel like your in a Timberwolf except your not and on the IS side?

P.S. Also I felt the need to be on the "Why we need this" Bandwagon.

I'd drink to a bandersnatch.

We have Rakshasa in MWO. It is called Marauder-5D. Posted Image

Rakshasa is underwhelming with its 5 energy and 2 missile loadout. Not to mention its side torsi will be gone soon if one tries to mount missiles on them, forcing it to use Std engine. It is a sad reminder of the Clan tech superiority, over its imitators. Kinda like the Avatar.

I heart the Bandersnatch.

Oh, but the Rak is ok, too.

As soon as we start getting 3055 mechs (and as interested as I'd be in seeing Alex's reimagining of them because most of the pre-plog 3055 art is HORRIBLE), then we'll be getting the Fedcom Civil War era nerds wanting their stuff.

I say let's go backwards. Mackies for everyone!

I'd be behind this just for the lol's. Its such a hideous mech from its old artwork. Though, I'm sure Alex would have its way with it like always, maybe even wine and dine it first.

If we end up getting the madcat Mkii I'd say this would have to be a 'must' even.

Though I'm a fan of the Raklobsta (and the Black Hawk-KU, and the Avatar), I don't think that clone mechs should get much priority in development over original chassis.

I think it would be relatively easy to give MAD-5D SRM quirks (as it was armed with Streak SRM-2 originally) and give Rakshasa LRM quirks (as it comes with a pair of LRM-10).

Harpoint inflation is always possible. For example those new Marauders have more ballistic, missile and energy harpoints than they should have.

While I agree that the majority of the original 3055 artwork was Meh!, Matt Plog did an excellent work and "his" Rakshasa is not bad:

While at the same time getting diddly squat for ballistic quirks. Meanwhile, at the Hall of Justice, Warhammer has all the quirks...

I feel like I'd have more success through Twitter.

Downside?

I have to join Twitter.

Sorry, I cant imagine a mech that is more doubly DOA.

Already its LORE puts it at a disadvantage compared to the mad cat

And we already have mechs that can do what it does like the the Archer

I think the bandersnatch would be a good idea

Looks like a Marauder and a Catapult collided and merged into one mech.
