[Ted Wayz]

Played the Rifleman yesterday until frustration set in and I just blew 30k+ to basic all four. Having taken care of that I looked over my stable of 250 plus mechs...and had no idea which one to play.

The Kintaro is my go to but I didn't feel like lobbing missiles. Gold mechs? Wasn't feeling it.

So give me a mech and a build to play today. Something fun and funky.

when i'm ot for some kicks and laughs i bring my Trusty Lulzspider Just run araound flamming and JJ everywhere as almost no one expect the take off speed of this thing. Variants may come with 1x Flamer and 1x tag for extra rage.

I was in the same spot yesterday, started looking for hero mechs without a lot of XP on them. Ended up rebuilding the loup de guerre into a max engine srm4/mpl ride. Basically looking for some under-used chassis and try rebuilding it and making it work.

AC10 1 ML xl100 Urbie. Still gets that big gun and sluggish feel while not being completely left behind. *PGI please make std engines up to 75 have no/negative weight for the Urbie!*

OR just a standard YLW. Dusted mine off yesterday and am always amazed at how well that hardpoint barren mech works.

I always enjoyed the Gauss Rifle Cicada. I also did a weird rendition, when the remake of Robocop came out, of an ED209 Cicada: 2 AC2s, 2 MGs, 1 Flamer w/ max armor and engine possible. Honestly though, my personal favorite thing to do when I'm bored, or just in general, is find that one mech that people ***** about the most because it is THAT bad and make it work. Or, take something that you enjoy and jam it full of weapons that people ***** about the most because they're bad. Or both. Just don't make a mech purposely so bad that you end up butt fudging your team.

So tried the AC20 Raven. Funky but not fun, at least for me. Think 3 Conquests 1 Assault and a Skirmish with 2 DCs might have had something to do with it.

Try XCOM 2 instead and get some time away from mechs.

That game is just awesome, with a few minor flaws.

Strategy is huge, decisions are long lasting, and your troops gain experience making their deaths substantial. It's a definite challenge, especially when you go for "Ironman" mode which only does one save.

Had a mission last night where I took 6 of my best troops, seemed to be rolling over the aliens and got caught in a bad location. Had to make the choice to save the troops ( seasoned vets with valuable skill sets) or accomplish the mission.

Chose to complete the mission as part of the greater picture, but lost 3 good soldiers. Still pondering that decision but its irreversible.
