Second he G700. Google its pics but it's got 4 additional buttons on the side which are easy to distinguish by feel as they're differently shaped, so no pressung the wrong button like in other MMO mice.

The 4 side buttons + 2 main buttons add up to 6 fire groups. Coincidink????

There are other smaller buttons around that you can reprogram as well. I have the dpi buttons near the mouse button 1 as an alpha. Have the middle mouse button sideways clicks as heat and NV respectively.

Don't be put off that its wireless. When I game on my laptop I use it witeless and there is 0 effective lantency. It's that good. I plug it into my main comp and yse it as a wired mouse then to charge it. The best thing about it - it comes with a AA rechargeable battery. Yep, you can swap the battery around.

And its still going strong. Over 3 years now and still going I actually want it to break so I can get a newer model.

I recently got a g502 and I'm loving it.

I'm using the DPI shift button for push to talk, the scroll wheel left and right tilt buttons for consumables, the scroll wheel down press button for free look and the scroll itself for zoom in and out. The remaining 4 regular buttons are for weapon groups and I left the DPI up/down and profile switch buttons as they are.

Amazing mouse, really.

Before that I used a R.A.T 9, which I really advice against buying. Don't buy any of the R.A.T mice, they work great at first and have really nice customizability, but the sensor is really bad quality and breaks easily. I had the same sensor failure 3 times on this product, it happened again after a few months with each new replacement mouse they gave me. Finally gave up and bought the g502.

I also own the G700S and it's awesome for me. I like the size, i like the button placement and the gimmick that their special coating keep the mouse clean actuals works!

The software is easy to use for profile and macros but when it tells you the battery are at 10% they really are at 50% and i really hate their battery sensor but i wouldnt change mouse because of that.

It was my first try with wireless because i didnt want to have input lag but i tried it because there was a cord coming with it. The cord is so stiff it's unusable and near a sham/false advertisement but the wireless response time is so good you can't tell the difference so youll never need the cord.

All in all i thought Logitech were dead in the dust when i had to change my mouse but im glad i did some research and then went to the store and put my hand on it. Never buy a mouse without touching it, feel it first.

This is what I use as well. The mouse can also be plugged in and used as a completely wired mouse which is what I usually do.

It is ridiculously expensive for a mouse, however. If someone else makes a better ambidextrous mouse with the same feature set, I wouldn't mind switching.

Thermaltake TT Black - last one lasted me almost 4 years. the software lets you create 4 mouse profiles where you can easily create macros for the buttons - like 1-press gauss firing, which i tried but didn't like. but you can do it

I'm another left-handed mouser and there aren't a lot of decent options. Years back I just used bog standard ambidextrous Microsoft mice but given my working hours are very mouse-intensive, after a particularly intense combination of heavy workload and PC gaming to relax, I ended up with a lot of pain in my mousing hand and switched to left-handed ergo mice. I have a couple of Logitech MX610s -- one of which is *still* my primary mouse at work (and which is still going strong after the best part of a decade) and three Razer Deathadder Left-handed editions.

I got the first Deathadder after my home MX610 started having interference problems (it's a 2.4ghz wireless jobbie). I bought another couple when they updated the Deathadder but didn't update the LH version -- one of these is still in the box on a shelf. The first Deathadder's onboard lights stopped working after a while, so I replaced it, but it still works as a mouse and is now the one I take when I'm on the road.

Razer's Synapse software is ... annoying. And written in such a way that most software updates require a reboot.

I would happily try out another maker's LH mouse, but I've yet to find one; even though I live in London I couldn't tell you offhand of a place where I could go fondle some high-end mouses (most of the PC/electronics stores don't seem to carry the good stuff) and I'm a bit reluctant to drop £80 or so on a promising-looking ambi mouse only to find it doesn't work for my grip.

I've used a Steelseries Sensei Raw for about a year and a half now, I find it quite reliable and pretty lightweight. It's got the two main buttons plus two on each side of the mouse, and a DPI button. I find it pretty sufficient for playing MWO, and most other FPSes. It is also ambidextrous. (and it glows)
You can get one for around $35 USD, and you can get the regular version, the Steelsereis Sensei, for about $50.
(The raw version is kind of a downgraded version)

I am very satisfied with my Razer Deathadder 2013. Got it for $60, found it to be very smooth fitting and has just the right amount of buttons for me to play with, and can be configured with macros. Sure it is not as advanced as many others, but I only need 5 buttons to beat most players in MWO.

If you like, you can supplement the G13 with a bazillion-button gaming mouse on the right hand. But I think that would already be overkill.

Though not a mouse, I love the G13.
Has a bit of a learning curve to switch over but once you do there is no going back.
