Yeah, 'Mechs are so cost-inefficient in BT I have to wonder why they are used at all. 12 tanks with 12 MedLas among them moving at 243 kph each will wreck the sh*t out of any 'Mech, period.

Just another reason the lore needs to be re-written; it makes so little sense that I can't even suspend my disbelief long enough for Rule of Cool to kick in. At least the mechs in BT's closest competition,Heavy Gear, have a believable use case: they are actually inferior to tanks in a fight, but they are more flexible and can get into places that conventional vehicles cannot while carrying dramatically more firepower than infantry, making them unpredictable and indirectly powerful.
