I keep dropping in Yen Lo Wang, which I have five tons of ammo for the AC20... and it shows 31 rounds at the beginning of three consecutive matches now. Further checking in the mechlab it has apparently converted a full ton lot to a half ton, and then magically eaten that extra half ton somewhere else in the mech's math. Also it turns out with half-ton lots of AC20 ammo (7 shots per ton), it rounds the shots down.

Looks like you have a half ton ammo in there with the full tons. Half ton ac20 ammo is 3 shots, plus 7x4=28, 31

Hah lol missed your edit

Strip the mech fully and rebuild is my recommendation.

No Bug. 1/2 ton AC 20 ammo item is 3 rounds and thus 2x 1/2 ton ammo is 2 x 3 = 6.

So use the 1/1 ton ammo item instead of 2x 1/2

Never divide ammo into half-ton increments. The more half-tons you have, the greater the probability of an ammo explosion to start.

If you want to bring ... say 4.5 tons of ammo, yes you can top of the 4 tons with a half ton. But if you want to bring 5 tons, make sure they're all 1-ton ammos. Also, with specifically the AC/20 which rounds down, never use half-tons at all.

Yes but my OP was about the fact that I DID have 5 full tons but then between matches it changed it to 4.5 tons on its own.

Wrong. The game does not know "tons of ammo" it only knows two items/objects, one "AC/20 Ammo" containing 7 rounds and has a weight of 1.0ton and another item called "AC/20 Ammo 1/2" containing 3 rounds and a weight of 0.5.

So you dont have 5 tons of ammo. You have 4x "AC/20 Ammo" and 2x "AC/20 Ammo 1/2" equals 4x7+2x3=34

It may be difficult to understand, but programming-wise it's logical Posted Image

Ok once more for the mentally impaired...

My mech had FIVE individual full ton 1 space 7 shot loads of AC20 ammo. Two in each leg and one in the head. I took that into crimson city and shot 33 of the 35. A couple matches later the head ammo had changed itself to a 1/2 ton and my mech's total tonnage still showd 50.0

I'd believe that. Strip your mech, save, and then re-add all the equipment. Sometimes things save a little weird in the mechlab
