[Rebirthed]

Hey everyone.

I have a DeathStalker Ultimate keyboard and after the last patch (today I believe), I can no longer play. I have clocked over 150 hours on the game according to steam, and I was just playing it last night.

Backspace no longer works in the launcher, and none of my keyboard keys work in-game as well. No problems anywhere else except for in client on MWO.

I tried verifying steam, deleting and re-downloading, deleting and downloading the native client, and even trying the repair tool.

Nothing seems to make a difference, the only thing I can do once I get in game is move my torso and left click, nothing else works.

Anyone having this issue?

EDIT: As per usual procedure, having an Xbox controller hooked up to the PC made the MWO Client freak out and work improperly. Unplugged it and everything is fine. Mods can delete.

Hey.

I have the same problem with my Thermaltake Challenger Pro keyboard but for me nothing works once I get in game. I also have spent considerable time in game and never had an issue before but starting today.

My issue is exactly as you described but for me my mouse doesn't work during game play either now so I have no control whatsoever.

Ive tried the repair tool and updated drivers with no luck and don't want to try reinstalling the client after you said it did nothing for you.

No idea how to fix this unfortunately.

I have a Logitech G11 and I'm having this same issue since the patch. I can kind of use my mouse, but my keyboard is completely unresponsive once I'm in game. I did manage to be able to chat by mapping F12 while in a match, but haven't done any additional testing.

EDIT: So it isn't just in game. To test this, I went into Settings while sitting on the MWO main mech screen (where you're staring at your currently selected mech). I then went to try to rebind keys, and it looks as though 0-1 and A-Z aren't recognized by MWO.

Please note, this is only happening in MWO, and only since the patch. I do not have any sort of controller plugged in. Any ideas? It's super frustrating.

Update:

I uninstalled and reinstalled the latest nVidia drivers, and I also used Steam to verify the integrity of the files.

After these two actions, I seem to be able to use my keyboard in the testing grounds and Quick Play again.
