Yes, the 4x cSPL builds are surprisingly efficient due to MLX being a tough little ******* that is hard to kill andthe amazingly high DPS cSPL provide.
I prefer to replace one of the extra heat sinks for a Targeting Computer for that little bit of extra range which results in a higher effective DPS and DPH in many situations but the CHAMPION build is very solid.

Before you ask, the LRM does indeed serve a purpose. Often times, on gather missions, I find myself dropped in with three mediums, usually Stormcrows. The LRM is there so that, while I'm gathering and my allies are being the decoy, I can help by throwing an LRM volley every once in a while as I do my thing.

so after some experimenting i finally got some great myst lynx builds in my stable. my previous post was my tentative build but i decided to max the firepower TO THE EXTREME
BUILD 1:

instead of going with 1 large pulse and 3 smalls i went for full range with 1erll and 3ermeds. with the ERLL range module and the ERMED cooldown module. it runs hotter than the sun but i know how to manage this heat. i have played with the stock nova. i can alpha without shutting down and abuse the jumpjets, and i can chain fire the er meds several times up close or outrange the enemy comfortably with a ERLL.
in the mech module slot i use advanced zoom.
if this turns out too hot i will swap these for small pulses, that version also seems promising.

i also bought the myst lynx prime version and settled for this next build. with the handy aid of my leftover myst lynx B omnipod.
it is a very reliable build but you have to sneak in close to the enemy to let those SRM rip, it's like a clan commando that you can maneuver with a very high jump.
the extra small laser might seem like redundant with only doing 5 dmg but 5 dmg is what the med laser does in the inner sphere, and it can actually kill a cored mech. i should know because my assault mech has a single inner sphere medium laser in the head hardpoint and i have killed cored mechs with it. 5 dmg.

or you can strip half a ton of armor to get a bit more ammo for those SRMS, which is something i might do anyway.
as far as the cooldown modules i use cooldown for srm6 and small laser but not srm4. that really rounds everything out.
update; it seems you can get ecm with this build too i might try that.
