based on my view as a filthy Clammer and what I like facing the least, I'd say Marauder.

Marauders are excellent. The only one I didn't like nor master was the 3 ballistic one.

Have bounty hunter, has 5 medium lasers (350 range) and 1 gauss...Love it to bits.

second is basically the same with an AC20, third is a wubb build with 3 large pulse lasers and 2 mediums. I only wish the Wubb version had energy range quirks and it would be PERFECT. But the mobility makes up for it.

I don't really follow lore and the only reason I know much about Battletech is because of this game, so no fanboy bias here....

I would say Marauder or the Warhammer, but definitely not the Rifleman. Not that there is anything 'wrong' with the rifleman, but they are not nearly as strong as the other two.

So, between the Maruader and Warhammer it comes down to preference and play style.

The Marauders are, in my opinion, some of the tankiest mechs in the game. It is not uncommon for me to be below 20% before I get killed. The only issue I find with the Marauder is they are a bit vanilla and all the builds kind of feel the same. I like the 3R a lot and running it with 3xAC5, 5xML is a solid build and I frequently use them in my CW decks. It is a much more in your face mech.

The Warhammers are great too and they are XL friendly. You get a bit more maneuverability and some great PPC quirks, although I don't run PPCs on them. My favorite build right now is my 4xAC5, 4xSL Black widow. But I also have had great success running the 7S with srms, LPLs and MLs. They are some of my top performing mechs and foresee continuing to play them.

I think the Marauders are a bit "better" in game due to their resilience, but I have more fun piloting the Warhammers. I hope this helps, but in either of those 2 chassis you will not be disappointed.

-side note
I don't think the Bounty Hunter hero is worth it but I absolutely love the Black Widow

Warhammer or Marauder. Both are equally good at similar roles. It basically down to which aesthetic you prefer.

Phoenix Hawk - packs are only worthwhile with the pre-order early bonus.

Between Marauder, Warhammer, and Rifleman, I can say - not Rifleman. I like mine OK - they're basically another Jager with different options - but they tend to die really, really fast.

The Marauder feels a little tougher, the Warhammer a bit more dangerous. I like the hammer just a bit better myself.

The Phoenix Hawk with early adopter is a great deal, but you do have to wait a long, long time to get the 'mechs.

The Marauder is very strong, the Warhammer can be a beast in the right hands. The Riflemen requires a very special pilot as it does not respond well to approved game play styles.

I don't own the Marauder, but I have killed a few of them, I'd rate them about as tough as a Timber Wolf. I own both the Warhammer and Riflemen, the Warhammer is my best consistently performing Mech. The Riflemen for me took a little tinkering, but I've got it working for me now.

Not to mention unless you really like to dress up your mech, you can get all the bonuses by just playing.

Yeah, if you're looking for a strong mech to climb into right now, and don't feel like grinding for a month to get them, the Marauder pack is a very, very strong option.

The Warhammer is a good option too, but I'd definitely argue Marauder over it, due to dem sexy high shoulder mounts.

And that is fair, just the value is not there. Paying $ for CBill mechs is a fool's errand.

But if a fool and his money are soon parted, I would suggest the Wolfhound of the Resistance2 pack. I think the MAD is the best of your presente options, just not as much value as either PXH or WLF.

Warhammer, especially if you plan on getting the hero Black Widow at some point. It is tanky enough to brawl, has good high weapon mounts on torso, and works well with the engines they already have to save some cbills. Solid chassis for laser vomit in the 3 basic variants, one can do duel guass and one can drop some missle spam as well. More of a hill humper than a side poker.

Maurader is great as well though, the jump jets are nice. Good daka capabilities, but unlike the warhammer can't duel guass or 4 ac5 like th BW hero. Builds lean towards side poking on right side.

Could always preorder that Crusader though.

Nekros is my second most played warframe. Sadly you would probably strangle me because I have him set up for despoil, soul survivor, and desecrate so I can get all of the loot while helping my team. If I knew your IGN for warframe I might hit you up to play together when I am bored of mechwarrior every now and then.

Also you need some dreadlocks for your warhammer if you name it nekros.

Volt for life!

My nick is strikebrch and THIS is my nekros A build. Switch Energy Siphon for Corrosive Projection only when you have a strong team. The forma polarity configuration i've made will allow you to make B and C builds focused on Despoil and Shield of Shadows respectively.

-I suggest you take out the soul punch augment mod and only use the ability to kill corpus or infested drones or knockout big enemies.
-Use Terrify to avoid powerful enemys plus buy some time in case you need to revive a fallen warframe.
-Desecrate plus Desploid augment will allow you and your team to regen health quickly.
-When your shadows die , use desecrate on them since they have a 100% of droping health orbes.

Mix it with a HEK shootgun plus Steel Meridian mod to maximize farm and kill rate , the syndicate mod for that weapon gives you 100% multyshot plus a huge 1000 points damage explotion.

Lex Prime for quick sniping

And finally a Galatine greatsword (WAR in case you have it , most powefull melee) with Focus energy (chanelling eficiency + electric damage) and Life strike (Life steal , sacrifices channeling efficiency) to regen health faster if you need it. Plus if you have a tank warframe (lots of armor points) with Rage mod (gives energy when losing health) , using this meele mods will allow you to create a lose health / get energy / gain health redundance for maximun tankyness.
