In group queue on HPG, my team is doing the normal counter-clockwise rotation, when all of the sudden somebody calls out, "Dire Wolf on top of HPG."
Half my group goes, "Wait...what?!" as we look up, and sure enough there's a freaking DIRE WOLF on top of the walls.
Then, in the most majestic way a 100t flying pig could fly, it slowly begins to rise as it attempts to jump from one wall segment to the other side, all the while my entire team is shooting the insanely easy to hit blimp that's floating across the sky.
Lost an arm and one side torso before the jump jets ran out barely halfway across the gap, in which it fell right in the middle of my team and was promptly devoured.

A few hours ago, I was doing some CW drops with the {QQ} teammates. Counterattack on Emerald Taiga. I was in my second (I think?) mech, a RFL-3N with Gauss and 4x ML. Go chasing after this straggling ACH, over a hill, and find that a teammate in an Ilya Muromets was face-tanking the poor, legged (again, IIRC, and it MAY be a bit fuzzy) Cheeter, with his back to me and standing between me and the enemy. I had no clear shot, until...
I could JUST see the bum leg between the Ilya's legs. "Why not?" Took the shot. Landed all of it. Between-the-legs killsteal. Apparently, the mech was THAT tore up, that the damage that transferred leg-to-torso was enough to pop the torso, and I got the K.
Also, take note when you kill a CPLT in Testing Grounds or the Academy. Sometimes, they fold over into a kind of dying cockroach position, and begin to spin at a slow, varying rate. Break dancing Catapults. I've officially seen everything I wanted to see in this life.

Just tonight I was in my BH MAD with 6 MLas and an AC/20 doing some obscene poptarting when I suddenly DIDN'T fall back down. I'd apparently flown backwards slightly, and landed on top of an allied Cicada. The Cicada either realized what happened or was really eager to fight, and charged over the hill and straight towards a lone Hunchback IIC. That we the most scared Hunchy I've seen to date.

Terra Therma. I was in a Kit Fox, and the match was only going ok. Suddenly, I notice our 3 atlases are heading around the central volcano, while the rest of the team is holed up inside, trading with the enemy. I join the atlases to provide ECM as they move around. We come around to the back of the enemy team, and not a single one is looking anywhere except the center. It wasn't until the second or third mech evaporated they realized what was going on, and by then it was too late. Atlas surprise is best surprise.

I wasn't exactly sure what had happened (as it was right when I turned the corner,) so I went back toward my team out of panic. I was cherry red CT.
The guy in the dire typed "you're lucky."
This was after ghost heat. The guy was shutdown for a good minute at least.

It's 5:40 am now. Will be off work after 11 and home by 3:00pm. Should be able to put it here soon after.

A team mate and I were in Lights, terrorising a Heavy enemy by circle-strafing it.
He killed it a micro-second before I Alpha'd it. My alpha went sailing through the now-dead enemy and TKed him.
Just to clear it up, mech corpses actually behave 2-ways. When the mech die it's corpse becomes 'weapon-transparent' until it stops falling down/moving. When it freezes or the ground (or just stays still on its legs), it starts blocking shots. This is probably made to avoid creating chaos with HSR getting confused by kinda random way the mechs fall down and allowing shots in when they should be blocked by the one falling down and blocking shots when they should go next to the mech falling down.

When the match begins, an opponent complains that that he forgot to go to toilet.
A moment later, i see someone peeking over an hill and fire both Gauss Rifles, getting a surprise head-shot and the first kill of the match.
Right after that, the same opponent who complained about having to go to toilet writes "THANK YOU!!!" and disconnects. Guess my lucky shot was also lucky for him.
Was quite amusing.

Many moons ago, I was piloting a Dire Wolf, and had a red Commando get ontop of me, and slowly killed me....
I just bought a UM-R63 and am curious as to whether I should scrap the lasers, downsize the gun, or scrap some of the armor for a bigger engine, or if I should just get used to the super slow 32.4 kmph, because max armor in the front still doesn't seem to last long, but that LB-10 X AC does monster damage at close range with a machine gun dual bound underneath it.

I laughed for the rest of the match...
had something similar happen to me in my Pirate's Bane on Terra Therma. the match was going ok for the most part and I was doing hit-and-runs on their heavies and counter-scouting their lights, but the snowball effect started to happen and of my last two remaining team mates, one was as snow leopard who was lagging out and the other was a King Crab who DC'd at the start of the match. I got into a tight spot and started to haul ***, but I got tagged by I think an AC20 and I faceplanted spectacularly at 150 kmph. no slide, no bounce, just *FWACK*
both teams started giggling at my form to which I replied in all chat "OOOH LOOK, A PENNY!" everyone stopped and sides broke orbit for a good 2 minutes.
we still lost when everyone regained their composure.
good times

From my experience, they block hitscan but not projectiles.
As evidence:

I found that pretty humorous. 9 SRM4s VS a poptart
