So. I just spent most of the last hour watching MWO videos. Why do I torture myself this way? Am I the only one who does this? I figure if I can't play it, I can watch it even though it's a poor second to playing the game. I've had to double my blood pressure meds because I'm so uptight about waiting for the game. I've lost half my hair too, and my fingernails are bitten down to nothing.

This is all sarcasm, btw. Anyone else want to chip in with their version of what the wait is doing to them?

I've been playing a lot of MW4:Mercs to occupy the time. It's also been useful to try out my new hotas setup I plan to use for MWO. You should go play Mercs for a while then go watch the videos. The visual difference between the two always gets me extra excited haha.

I've been in such a "Mechwarrior Mood" that I actually recently watched all 13 episodes of the Battletech cartoon from the 90's, nuff said....

My PC is ages old, so damn old it still has a 939 socket on the CPU and DDR400 RAM... tell me about watching videos -.-
Can't play Battlefield 3 so I watch **** load of commentaries, same goes for CoD: Black Ops due do having a single core .
For some reason I can't play Mass Effect 3 so I pretty much watched it all on YouTube.... and so on and so on.
It will probably be the same with MechWarrior until a miracle happens and I get a new PC.
Wierd thing is, I can play Skyrim on Medium Details + High Textures without performance loss when it's all on Low... aliens dude, aliens.

Yeah, it seems as if the Mektek isn't working at all, whenever I want to download the game, it just keeps loading and loading, but never does anything, like you didn't click at all.
And then it goes "Problem with loading the page."

I've been playing MW4:M, and am thinking about grabbing Crysis for 5$ so i can play MW:LL

I've been spending a little time each day looking at the thread that are posted so I can keep up on what's happening and to see if there are questions on the forum that I might have a solution or encouraging answer to share.

Go join up and play MWLL, it beats MW4 by miles on graphix and game play is better in my opinion. With the next Beta release coming out soon it really balances out the assets and puretech battles can happen without it being so slanted. You should really give it a try, especially when Crysis Wars is so cheap now.

I love watching the vids to see what the new game will be like, crap, I just just love watching the vids and wish there were more.

Like others, i keep my playing edge by playing MW4Mercs.

What kinda trouble you having with MekTek download? I can try to help if you need/want it

Also - for pointers check out sunderjunkies.com - great forums, lots of helpful folks, some MekTek admins there too, we all play FFP NoRespawn Puretech style - we have our own server(s) and comms. All the info is there and folks willing to help you.

I cant get my HOTAS to work with Mech4 Mercs. It only likes to pick one of the 3 controllers I have as the primary controller. I cant map any movement or controls to any of the other controllers, which is annoying. I have to throttle and turn with my keyboard and torso and shoot with my stick. Its like some hybrid abomination combination.

You can get the downloader from cnet I believe or a number of trusted download sites. That's what I did. As the downloader is p2p, it doesn't require the mektek site to be working. What I did was go to the mektek site ( mektek.net ) and got the filename for the right version, then got he actual file elsewhere. After installing it locked up at first, restarted it and it worked fine.
