CPU+GPU Performance may increase by ~20% to ~90% depending on the Hardware and Setting.

Anandtech tests Dx11 vs Dx12 Performance on GPUs with the latest Ashes of Singularity:

However, we'll also have a look at a new DX12 related feature called explicit multi-GPU. You can now insert an additional video card into your PC and increase performance. Explicit Multi-GPU allows gamers to use an AMD card and an Nvidia card in the same system.

Will MWO in Dx12 run that much better as well and if it does when will it happen?

It's really hard to say, but I would say 10-25% is about the most we'll actually see if/when MWO gets an upgraded engine with DX12 support.

Based on experiences with CrossfireX and SLI, I will probably not be putting in a second GPU, vendor-matched or not.

Even with OC to 4,5 GHz (that's what I mostly run, stable with 60°C max coretemp - sane settings ftw) I could reduce the powertarget of my titan by 20% without any impact on min FPS. Yes, average and max FPS will be lower, but usually those are the most unimportant thing ever. Min FPS is where I'm to 100% CPU bound.
So, Dx12 with reduced CPU overheaded would be great.
On the other hand, since nVidia failed to deliver a proper Dx12 implementation, no benefit for me.
The guys with AMD GPUs - especially Hawaii - will experience great FPS gains.
If PGI manages to get a decent engine. And won't fail the adaption...
