I understand that there are medallions that were part of the first few Mech packages when MWO first started up.

Why are these (or other like medallions with maybe a different name) not being offered with the Clan wave or IS resistance packages?

A lot of people have spent a lot of money buying these Mech package offerings. Don't they rate the same loyalty benefit? Ya, sure. It is a reward for being one of the first to play/buy into MWO. But those who found out about MWO AFTER the first few packages were sold are being forgotten. Is their loyalty to MWO any less important?

Plus, wouldn't it be an added enticement to buy the new offerings (Wave, Resistance, etc...) of Mechs?

I wouldn't mind some "fraction" medallions for the Clan packs that I've bought. The fraction I would like the most would be 3/7, personally.

what are medallions exactly? are they cockpit items or like just some ingame thing that has no purpose like visually in game (before cw) but now gives like a boost to LP? I had thought they were like cockpit items that whenever equipped on mechs they would give u some LP boost. or something and thus thought as long as u equipped some standing hanging items of the faction you are that u would get a tiny boost.

AFAIK the Phoenix "Bronze" Medallions are the only ones that provide an Loyalty Point bonus. The others are merely decorative.

However, I believe the medallion achieved @ level 15 regardless of faction (for IS it's labeled bronze) is the one that is the same/equivalent for even the Clan factions.

Just wanted to say to PGI, "Thank You!" The event that will reward a "Loyalty Medallion" was a great idea! I hope you will hold a few more in the future that will also have this reward item

Those Loyalty bonus items were exclusive with the Phoenix Package.

In fact, it was one of the major selling points on the package. I'm pretty sure a revival of such medallions died during the Phoenix Poll, although I believe the Clans received some during a special event recently.

I have this Bronze medallion from rank and it doesnt say it gives a bonus. Does it?

My phoenix medallions don't say anything about a bonus but I'm pretty sure they do. They implemented that after I joined clans so I can't say for sure.

None of the medallions (or any other hanging items, for that matter) say anything in game. There's simply no descriptive text about them at all, so that's not really an indication one way or the other.

It wouldn't surprise me if they re-purposed the Phoenix bronze medallions as faction loyalty rewards. Since they have the same name I assume that's what they've done, but we'd need someone with a Phoenix medallion who has also earned rank 15 in the same faction to say for sure.

As far as the Clan versions go, I do not believe that they (currently*) provide a faction bonus. I have all four of them from one of the Clan packs, and that pack said nothing about a faction bonus. Since that would have been a selling point, I doubt they have a bonus.

*That said, with the upcoming medallions earned during the Clan challenge they may very well refit and reuse those medallions. We'll have to wait and see how the Loyalty medallions are awarded. If the IS level 15 medallions actually are loyalty medallions, then it seems like the Clan level 15 medallions should be also. But I assume that some of those have already been awarded and that they're already identical to the medallions received with the Clan packs, so they'd have to make all of the Clan pack versions loyalty medallions as well unless they wanted to do some database work to figure out which of the already-owned medallions should be converted to loyalty medallions.

The loyalty bonus has been implemented. You can see it in the Loyalty tab from CW. Should be in the mech/boost section

Ammmm... I have to disagree Zolaz. The Loyalty Point Medallion from the Clan Invasion Event will be handed out to qualifying accounts on 16 June. You can check out the post (look toward the very bottom) here: http://mwomercs.com/...-weekend-event/

I'm really hoping that PGI takes this a step further. Different Loyalty Medallions would be great! A general all inclusive medallion (any mech, IS or Clan) at 2%. A Clan specific medallion at 5% or IS specific at 5%. A specific unit/fraction/clan (ie. Davion only, Clan Wolf only, etc.) at 8 or 10%. And the level 15 medallion (also unit/fraction/clan specific for the alignment played) at 15%

Think of the possibilities for mech packages, weekend events, or outright sales in the online store?
