so i was screwing around with nova builds trying to get the highest firing rate attainable with any ballistic weapon and i came up with this. throw on the lb2 cd module and you get a 34.5% more fire rate awesomeness. every 0.4716 seconds those crit seeking mosnters hit the dirt next to your target as you fight with your joystick to get your crosshair on your target.

Don't diss the LB2's! I run a triple LB2 EBJ and it's not bad.

I wouldn't run LB2's in anything less than triplets though.

ive ran it in about 3 games and its actually quite deadly. the mgs also have rof quirks so that is a lot of crit seeking goodness. its armor penetration could use some help though. will try the xl steering wheel edition sometime later today.

im seriously loving the fire rate.

Wait, is the intention of these to actually KEEP underhive players in the underhive?

"But, look at the crit potential!"

Oh, this is so hilarious.

You can damage things 2km away.... if you can hit them! The spread at 2km is hilarious.

I actually spent 6m cbills building this (because who actually has LBX2 and MG modules, really? The LBX2 is spectacularly horrible!) and I REGRET NOTHING!

i usually run with a pair of uac5s (or gauss+erppc) on the adder, because you can. but it looks like you can 20% cd (32% with module) and you get a 10% spread reduction on top of it. i guess for those who want to trade 2.5% fire rate for a bit more accuracy. also you can carry backup lasers (or flamers). im gonna have to give that a run.

Not gonna lie, I just ******* died at this.

Also 1 LBX2 and 3 ERMEDs on my Ice Ferret is one of my favorite bad builds. Its hilarious because I've always done decent in it.

Also twin LBX2 Shadowcats are hilarious.

Quad LBX2 hunchie with a macro is a walking AA battery and its funny as ****.

You can almost see the sense of confusion in that Executioner and Catapult.

While not a Nova, the ShaqHawk 2H can manage a 0.504s cooldown AC2, with the 25% quirk and 5% FastFire

That's about where they were pre-nerf, plus 20% less heat. It's fun.
Part of me can't wait for the AC2 module (and the oversight of not changing quirks) because that makes for a 0.42s cooldown.

That's some extreme Dakka there.

Quad AC2 BNC 3E could be hilarious. Probably not as much though since its cooldown quirks arent nearly as high.

I know, right?! Me and the shadowcat, with a total of 10 machine guns and 2 LBX2's firing extremely rapidly, it was almost like they just didn't know what to do as their mechs just kind of melted apart.

I mean, they're machine guns and LBX2's, so they didn't melt incredibly fast, but I imagine it was very loud and sparky.

I was howling with laughter the the whole time.

It's a ridiculous build. Terrible, even; I mean, it can push a decent amount of DPS at very close range, but the spread on the 2's make it impossible to even target a single hit location reliably unless your in MG range (and even then, the MG has COF too!).

There's a noticable difference when something's armor is gone; the structure just... goes away.

It was hilariously fun.

Down to earth, though, it's still a pretty bad build. LBX2's are horrifically bad at range - 4 1 damage pellets that spread enough to hit every location on a Stalker at 1km (which is INSIDE their optimal range). It fires rapidly, but you can't carry enough ammo to make using it at those ranges useful due to the spread. Up close, it requires continued facetime and if someone has armor and a non-terrible build, they'll just cut your Nova in half.

But with that said... It's a TON of fun.
