Hi all,

These both weigh the same and take the same slots and I'm having difficulty deciding which is better.

Check out Blackhawk's video in this thread.  Should answer all your questions.Edit: On second look that video doesn't quite answer your specific question. You should still watch it though, it's good info.I would personally go with ALRM10 over LRM15. Tighter missile grouping means shorter time till kill.

It's also heavily dependent on mech quirks if any, and hardpoint count(for Heat Management).

If you are going more dedicated LRM boat, go for the 10+Artemis. Actually, even if it's your secondary armament, I'd suggest the Artemis. The only time I would suggest forgoing it is if its tertiary armament on an assault, something for you to fire while closing distance.

I agree with the above. Also LRM10s have a slightly fasters rate of fire than LRM15s which will let you capitalize on successful locks better, and they're cooler too.

In general I prefer LRM10s since you don't really need more than two tons of ammo per launcher as a backup weapon. As a primary you'll obviously want more.

Extra ammo or an extra DHS is more important than tighter groupings. Artemis is a bit wasted on the smaller launches as well.

You would think that but you routinely see Artemis on tiny launchers.

50% faster lock with artemis?!?
60% stronger lock with artemis?!?

I would take that over what you're suggesting...

I deleted what I wrote, its really mech dependent IMO since Assault mechs typically have room for artemis.

I only go for Artemis with LRM15 and LRM20 because the cost of Artemis is a smaller percentage in relation to the LRM. Better spread on LRM10 and 5 is good enough to skip Artemis on those. Clan Artemis is more expensive than IS Artemis because Clan LRMs are so cheap to equip.
I only use Artemis on IS Mechs for that very reason.
