Nice event !
But I will play only 20 matches and not 80.

That's enough this time...

Last year's POT OF GOLD

PGi had 29 Hero Mechs on Sale that counted for additional C Bills... This year.. none..

Lol...nothing is "free". It costs us our time.

But it is more C-bills for the same amount of effort, and who am I to pass that up.

Plus an event always means more fodder for the meat grinder. (and shorter wait times for CW matches)

I'll be there.

PS: Thanks PGI for the extra long time too. Posted Image

Technically PGI finding out how to tweak events to make people more excited is good.

This event is going to make me play more over the next 5 days, so good job PGI.

However, 2 good notes are:
If you added mechs that were purchasable right now for MC, like heroes, I would actually seriously consider buying one.

Second, CW rewards are so low, since cw takes at least three times as long (group gathering and finding planets) and is a lot more work, this sale will have me actively declining group invites for cw.

CW reward would need to be 300,000 to pull me in. I'm not likely to get in all required quickplay drops.

I think, this will be an event, that many people will enjoy. But from my point of view, it would be only fair, if IS-players had the opportunity to choose from mechs of each weight class, like the Clan-players do. I don´t care, if it were the R1-, R2- or Founder-Mechs, but this would be fair for everyone.

is there a way to track progress? It is not in the stats as a challenge

I really don't wanna be a negative nancy, but the last like... 4+ events were surrounding only those who bought the last mech packs... the trend is only continuing too it'd seem.

Hm, how to voice a complaint without actually complaining... Because yay! An event! Easy money, I like that. And sure, the recently released Mechs get a bonus, makes sense. I even got some of those, so I'm totally looking forward to it, without a smidge of sarcasm. That said, It is somewhat unfortunate that Clan players have all their weight classes covered while IS players, even if they bought all three of the packs, can only get bonus cash for 20 heavy matches. Just the way it is, not really a problem and no good solutions. I certainly don't feel entitled to have my (F) Mechs somehow favored in special events. GL&HF everyone.

I realize I might be in the minority, but I like that it is only the collector variant of the unseen mechs. Those guys tossed down an extra twenty bucks for the package that a lot of people said wasn't worth it. I won't begrudge them an event that essentially says thanks for doing that, here's a little bonus to you guys.
Just as an aside, I personally don't have any of those mechs, so won't be getting the extra bonus.

Feels bad to be the fodder. Managed to lose 90% of my matches so far despite doing the most damage on my team. I'm beginning to not care anymore. Constant disconnecting teammates and just plain lousy scrubs getting 0 damage and dying in the first minute. Such is my luck though.

IMO there's a fair amount of space between "PGI best company ever XOXOXO marry me" and "OMFG PGI sux worse than {Godwin's Law} please kill urselfs IRL" that can generate some constructive discussion.

No problem with pointing out ways for them to improve as long as you're not going overboard with it. It's more helpful than just gushing over whatever they do.

LOOK OUT!

Sorry if this is off topic, but the Presidents frontman makes me think of Matt Freuer and a shaved Bill Nye the science guy. As if they had a kid, perhaps? You can all see that, can't you? Can't unsee it now, can you?
Me neither!

PS, more on topic, I'm not complaining about the event (which is awesome) when I say 'If only they included the Urbanmech!"
Because... Urbanmech!

Does the 2m cbills cap apply only to CW or is it overall?

The 2 million cap is only for cw. I think they specified that and not a number of cw matches because you can earn either 50k or 100k from a cw match depening on win/loss.

Overall you can get 2 million per weight class * 4 weight classes + 2 million for cw = 10 million or even more if you have any of the special mechs.

They just added the hero variants from the unseen. Bounty hunter is coming out of the hangar for some loving.
