I do likes me some missile boat :)

Looks like they made the already-long nose even longer with that bull-bar thing. I'd be more concerned about that if it didn't still seem to be covered by the properly gorilla-like arms. I just hope it gets some viable quirks, cause on paper it's one mean machine.

So try searching MWO forums.

Search box: Archer Missile Doors
first entry
http://mwomercs.com/...irmed-and-more/

I would hope screenshots of the actual tweet suffice?

Yeah......I saw your post on that way back when you started it man.
1. Too be honest, that post, my love of the Archer, and not wanting to lose out on the Early Adopter rewards is what kept me from asking for a refund on all the Archers I bought.
2. Have no doubt B.S. that I, like many others here, appreciate the crazy amount of effort you put into supplying info, links, bleeding Russ for info, etc, etc! Posted Image It's just that....
3. Some 140 characters or less statement on a frickin social media network is no where near as, um,..... "comforting" shall we say, as I don't know........An Official Post on there own F%^&#N GAME FORUM that's dedicated to the game in question! Posted Image
That's all.
In the end, as I stated in 1. and 2. I do believe in your work though man! Posted Image

*Sidenote*
It may just be that I'm not much of a forumite (except for reading it regularly) as probably made obvious by my 2+ years and not even triple digit posts...............
But every time I read a post from you, or see you started another thread....I hear Styx playing "Too Much Time On My Hands" in the back of my head! Posted Image

Dear PGI

Please, delete the timer from the left corner and add MWO logo on the wallpapers.

Thank you.

As per a conversation with Russ on Twitter, yes Archers WILL get missile bay doors, a al the Catapult.
https://twitter.com/...723021780074496
Those doors, if shot while open will NOT count as CT, and will have their own health of some sort, and indeed are apparently going to be destructible.

Ah yeah. Unless they really pooch the in game model somehow, don't see this thing NOT becoming a favorite for me.

Thats good, but if the doors open all the way up, you'll be visible from miles away even when your head is well under cover.

@Ace Selin: Yeah, it has the same problem as the Stormcrow, but I think that will not hinder any good pilot from creating panic and fear in the enemy ranks Posted Image

Sweet looking mech btw, can't wait to introduce them to my Cicadas Posted Image

Great work Piranhas!!!

It does look downright gorgeous, doesn't it? :)

As for causing panic and fear in the enemy ranks... Imagine a bunch of Archers standing just below a ridgeline out of sight of unsuspecting enemies, then suddenly a bunch of TAG lasers from light spotters start lighting up the enemy mechs and they see a row of Bunny-Ears of Doom pop up behind the Ridge as the Archers open their missile bays all at the same time. :) Then it starts raining.

Why do all these badges have to use an orange background? Can't they mix it up with different colours...

I would dare to guess that orange is the colour for the legendary packs (you know, battletech legends 'n stuff) we're seeing right now. The overall style is for IS-packs, other colours had been in use and might be reserved for the different stages of the Resistance-mechpacks.
Clan-badges got a completely different artstyle.

@topic: somehow the texture on the Collector-Edition looks jaggy. Not what I would've expected from a higher resolution texture.
Maybe they should add a 4k-option which can be chosen in the client. Like, 4k for modern rigs and 1k (the size we got them the last years) for older ones.

Is that an Ice Ferret right in front of the Archer? If yes, we can see the Archer is not very large... (good!)

It is a Hunchback actually. But the Archer still is not that large.

Nice desktops. The Archer looks good. That said, would it be possible for desktops to feature canon Battlemechs? (There is no Archer with this many lasers). This is lovely art, it would be nice if it fit the rest of the Battletech universe.

Archer's legs seem very small in proportion with the upper torso. Wish those were beefier.

Ha,
very first thought when seeing the desktops was something like "That's a redundant TAG-Laser system for sure" but then logic and reasonyble thinking kicked in and kicked the first thought aside with "Men, small laser thats what it is".

Can't wait to level the Archer, see how a mixed LRM/SRM/ML build will do.

I'm voting to nickname Archers "bunnies."

Also, I think there should be a hatchetman hidden in there somewhere as a kind of easter egg for its inevitable release.

I live in Seattle. You aren't that far away: I'll bring beer and poutine to make this happen.
