Well without dedicated narcers they(LRMs) are not really scary, more like easy kills.

Who said we'd forget our NARCers?

Some of us will be narcing our own prey. (What else am I supposed to do with 9 bloody missile hardpoints, lol? 2x LRM5 per ST, 1x LRM5/1x SRM4 per Arm, and a NARC in the CT.)

Though in truth, I mostly bought the pack based on the artwork, and so far the sneakpeeks haven't dissapointed. Oh, and the Tempest. Oh, she looks like she'll be a real beauty even if the LRMs are blocked. (Of course, she also looks like one of the few that might work just as well packing some SRMs to back dem lazors)

Cool! Kitfox, with minimal armament! Make it easier for my team's Lights to eat ya for breakfast! Posted Image

:P I like that mentality because either A people try to chase me and my entire team pew pews them. Or B. I head shot assaults all day with my 2 er-Large and they cry hacks because I had all the time in the world to aim at their head before they decide to point their guns on me :P

I'll look forward to testing your theory!

Not everyone who uses LRMs from time to time is a bad who doesn't know how to twist (while holding a lock)! Posted Image

Don't claim to be Jman5, but I have found outside of running into full on comp teams, LRMs can still be VERY viable. Though more situational than I prefer. Well, and I prefer autocannons. Dakka is just so satisfying. Hence my TT custom archer.....

Have fun with the GH (until it's removed, finally!) and the lack of any weapons past 270m on a moderately slow Heavy Mech that looks to have Mad Dog-esque STs. Without the Clan XL advantage.

Oh I plan to run a combo... 9 missile hardpoints and that's it....It is begging for a 4 and 5 setup. I rarely use LRMs in the boat sense... I like my fights within medium range... So getting some dmg at distance until the fight eventually gets into that range will be my setup.

I plan on running around in my Hellbringers and D-DC for a bit. Hopefully those ECMs will make chicken salad out of chicken crap.

It's cute when people act like LRMs can't be effective and that a LRM'ers team mates will just stand by and let them get shot up.

That said, I'm looking forward to my KF being able to run proper support again. Is that 3x AMS thing still bugged?

I wont be running my Archers straight away. Im going to wait until the novelty wears off and then run them.

In the meantime, if Im feeling lazy Im going to run an AMS Kitfox and be triple A potato sat amongst the Assaults.

If Im feeling energetic I'll be running a narcing light.

Either way, even if the sun is blotted out by Lrms, Im just going to chill and not let it bother me.

Yea no big deal to me....I will probably have comms turned off for a few days due to the predicted screamers and stressers flipping out about LRM-OPness

I mean....when the Mad Dog went on sale it was LRM hater club central out there for a while.... I can only imagine another round of that.

Why would you ever play the Archer as a LRM mech. It's looking to be a very strong SRM heavy, something that IS lacks a bit at the moment.

I for one am far more scared of the Archers SRM potential, than its LRM potential.

I agree. My thoughts were on SRM builds more than LRM.

Plus a 62kph on a 265 (I think) and a max of 315... That thing should be running a very good speed of 84kph once skills are up.. Like my Thunderbolts with the 315s. Good torso and speed with some heavy SRMs and backup lasers... This could be quite a mech indeed. Can't wait for it to arrive on my doorstep

Everyone seems to be focused on the 9 missile hard point variant but I am looking at the others...and the ECM variant for builds.

I wouldn't and my quote was reply to OP who clearly does or at least his gif suggest so.

I imagine a lot of Archer players will try pure LRM builds, and then be like...
