I still LOVE and would like to add to your list that if you are searching for a while, the best way to drop IMMEDIATELY into a match is to hit that "cancel" button. Should relabel it to "drop now".

I eradicated my friends list a year or two ago because of that damn blinking icon. Worst part was canceling a match search only to find whatever reason it was blinking is no longer there.

I hate how it blinks when you first log in "just because".....

I don't have that problem since they reset faction affiliation and I haven't bothered to chose one since. Thinking about it now, it was probably the problem the whole time.

That's a good diagnosis, but then again, why does faction have anything to do with it? Unless the mere act of you logging in in an "activity" that lets the rest of your clan/unit know....
If that's the case, we should be able to set our notifications, which ones we want to see, which we do not.

Well I think its no exaggeration when I say that MWO has in many ways the most user unfriendly and inconsistent UI I have ever seen....
In some ways its good, not all of it is bad.... just a good part of it is. More like bunch of good parts tied together with spaghetti and wishful thinking.

Atleast Spaghetti tastes good though.
