Simple Yes or No.

How they're implemented, along with their mechanics and loadout (single weapon, multiple weapons, ACs, lasers, PPCs, Missiles, etc etc etc) can be discussed below.

Thanks for your time everyone.

There was a thread I had made that was for a map that included one single central point inside of a hollowed out mountain that was a mech hangar, and both teams enter on either side (snowy side and a desert side). Inside of the map was one central node with turrets defending. Each team had to venture inside, destroy turrets along the way and capture the central node. It was called "The Kerensky Mines". The team that held the center node the longest (captures the most resources today ??) would win.

Makes perfect sense to me. Sounds a lot like mechcommander. If you capture the turret control tower, the turrets are yours. :)

Exactly what I was initially thinking.

But I really wouldn't mind a bigger element, like an orbital bombardment with Naval Lasers from a Space Defense System targeted and followed on one mech (the furthest mech, regardless of team, friendly or enemy) for a consistent 5 seconds (with 5 second cool down) that isn't within the capture circle, to encourage movement to the capture point, when someone is capturing (and obviously the SDS would be inactive when the capture is stalled or the timers are not counting down). I was also thinking that the transmitter skids (Alpha, Beta, etc) could reflect the cool down timer of the Naval Lasers of the SDS, in that if one is blown up, on either team, the cool down timer is increased by 1 second in between firing.

The reason I am saying we need an SDS (Space Defense System) because this is a satellite after all in 'Domination' mode, and clearly we are needing to 'dominate' something. First thing that comes to mind is to make a call to an SDS to literally dominate the area.

EDIT: To better understand what I am referring to, since we are at 3051 in the timeline, a Capitol Space Station outfitted with Naval Lasers seems like a perfect fit. If we don't ask to introduce these elements when the timeline occurs, and when they are in demand, when will we?
