Greetings from Japan! :)

I am writing to see if anyone can help me with this problem. I'm getting these weird, "IMAGE LOADING" problems in game, and it is getting progressively worse.

The symptoms are difficult to describe in words, but I belive the pictures below speak for themselves. Ugly rainbow looking "img:" icons overlayed on top of what appears to say "IMAGE LOADING" in white font/black background.

At the moment, these errors (?) are happening in three distinct areas in game for me:

1. SELECT MECH menu
2. STORE menu
3. ...and most recently at the launch/start of the game.

For example, in the MECH SELECT menu, the icons/pictures of mechs load fine until I click on them, and boom! they turn into these IMAGE LOADING errors. Once they error out, it stays this way. Using repair tools did not help, uninstalling and reinstalling the game (believe it or not) did not help in restoring the errored images.

I am playing on Windows 8 Pro 64 bit, on Alienware Alpha.

At this point, any help that you guys can give me in making these annoyances go away, would be a big help!

Thanks for reading :)

This I guess is supposed to be the newly rolled out daily updates/topics...?

Have you run the repair tool? The tab is at the top right of the patch window when you first open MWO (the little gears), have you updated your video drivers and have you installed all the software to support the game? you can find that here in step 1.
Also try running full screen.

Thanks for the suggestions Shamous

Yes, I've done the following:
- run the repair tools
- update the NET/C++/DirectX/video driver
- reinstall the game
- run the game in full screen

but the problem is still there :(

thanks for trying to help anyways :)

one other thought, I remember a post a few years back where malfunctioning video cards would cause a similar problem, one of them was over heating the other was bad vram. also try running a mem test to check the ram in your system. the fact that you have done the above suggestions makes me think its hardware related.

in game settings are you running in DX9 or DX11 mode?

MWO Client cannnot handle 2byte code characters in the local cachefile path.
You may login to Windows by an account which has 2byte characters.

Check your cachefile path like this
C:\Users\ xxxCheckHerexxx \Saved Games\MechWarrior Online\UI\MechIcons

日本語のユーザ名でWindowsにログインしてMWOをインストールするとこうなります。
アルファベットのみのアカウントでログインして、MWOを再インストールで直ります。
