Ok, tested this out (see my previous comment) with 2 friends.
This is NOT the cause, its just a big side torso that can't take multi alphas
Also found out something very good:
The upper parts of the missile doors are NOT part of the hitbox, and fire will pass through them. However, convergence to the point BEYOND you may cause mechs to hit other parts of you with low, arm mounted weapons

I was dissappointed with the quirks myself. But those are something that can always be adjusted. The side torsos are a bit too large. I like the mech but as LRM support....a Catapult is still better. Better quirks are really needed to make the Archer more viable. The 2R could use 1 more missile hardpoint as well. I do have fun with the 5W though. 8 SRM-6's !! Adjust some of the hitboxes and quirks and I think it would do much better.

Saw the New Hot Fix where you added some more Love to the Archers specially the Poor Tempest. Thank you PGI for listening to your Players. I was initially very disappointed in my purchase But you stepped up and made good on your Product. Thanks.

I noticed the nice quirks to the archer line, but I will still maul an archer with some of my 55 or 50 ton medium mechs in a LRM fight.
That is a few of the wolverines, a few shadow hawks, a few griffons, a few kintaros, a few centurions and a few trebs. Then the Jagermech A will put any archer to shame.
It is almost that you have to be a flanker or a in the pack LRM cover mech. Do not go to the front.

Has anyone else noticed the Archer is extremely bad at handling slopes? I regularly see my speed drop 15-20 KPH when going up even very shallow slopes that don't affect similar mechs at all.
I guess the same fat feet that cause dropship issues drag on slopes.
