Re-posting thread due to some issues I was having with the editor, then ended up accidentally deleting old thread on my phone.

Looking to form up a small merc group for gaming and off site roleplay/fanart on our own forums.

Skill is not a deciding factor for recruiting and infact would prefer players with more a mid-range in terms of skill. The only real requirement is the willingness to rp your character and/or allow fan fiction and fanart to be done of them, of course with you having the final say on what is posted about your character (in other words, writers and artists wont be able to abuse your character by making them do something your character wouldn't normally do).

Furries and Bronys are welcome, so if you personally wouldn't want to work with them then this isn't the group for you.

Currently the only things NOT allowed are stat boosters (we prefer that we work and play as a team, no matter if we win or loose) and Clanners or ex-clanners (due to timeline issues, this rule will be lifted when the invasion starts, but only as bondsman at start) unless you are a hidden Clansmen along the same lines as the Wolf's Dragoons and are essentially a forward scout or spy.

Our goal is to create a fun place to play and roleplay our team's exploits and thereby create a little non-canon sub universe for Battletech, possibly creating/joining up with other teams to expand our mini universe. As such, due to our non-canon status we do not bar you from joining other groups or any of the great houses on the side.

To apply to join us, please enter your character information either here, or in a PM sent directly to me with character name, age, race (for the furries and bronys), what you assume your favored role will be (scout, fire support, etc.) preferred mech chassis (no need to go into varient details), background and personally description. A short example of your roleplay and/or artistic ability would be great too. If applicable please also list any artistic or technical skills you have that could be helpful such and if you are a writer or modigital/traditional artist or even something as small as knowing how to create custom paintjobs for the concept artwork for MWO. I will keep this opening post edited as needed with our roster, any changed to the rules and the eventual address to our off-site fourms where you can join for roleplay.

*EDIT* You do not have to join the roleplay as a member of the 42nd, but you have the option to. Sorry for not making that clear before. Infact, we encourage other units to spring up from this movement for the sake of varied roleplay.

Currently we have no emblem of our own, but once we get some members we can work together on creating one. Current mech paint scheme is simmilar to the operation inception founders mechs (In RP only, in game you can use whatever you like) and we encourage you to put your own flair into your paintjob if you like, as the teams quartermaster is shall we say, lenient as far as both dress code and mech's paint scheme.

Example of team colors using my own personal Centurion (with a little flair):

saw you Corp post and was most intrigued. I like role playing and love mechwarriors when you seem to have both going. I am curious though about time zones. I work alot and can really only play with the midwest and pacific times zones. I am not very good at all things that come with roleplaying, but would like to improve on things like fanfiction.

Name: Tommy Fox
Username: Alexandrite
Age: 20, canon
Race: Arctic Fox
Role: LRM from the rear
Bot Choice: Catapault C4, working towards one right now. Colors: Black main, white accents. Might add aqua accents for team colors, unsure.
Background: Not complex. Rich boy, looking to prove his parents wrong. So, he rented a mech for a bit, and then bought his own once he was good enough to pilot it correctly. Self-taught and all.
Personality: Tends to take command of a situation, and isn't afraid to put himself in harm's way if it means team victory. Usually requires support for the mechs he runs, though.
RP Sample: I'll edit this post later. Usual RP is 3-6 lines, I can multi-para though.

Main Contact: Skype- Nantang37(I have a pic of a bike on mine)

Extra: Just figured a traditional form would make things easier for some of us. I'm just starting, my mech history is a bit rusty, but I'm starting to catch up on ops again. Also, in canon, since it's quite a bit further, are we doing modded genetics for the furs and bronies, or just leaving the furs to their imagination in-canon?

Firstly, Welcome to Gamma Lance Tommy, glad to have you aboard. Secondly, seeing as the RP itself will be pretty much non-canon, details are sketchy at best at why furries and bronies exist. The plan is, like soo many things, to figure it all out when we actually have a good amount of people.

Gotcha. I'm not sure where we'll find more furs and the like, but I'll redirect them here once I find them

Always appreciated, friend. If nothing else, my first idea for the allowance of furries was that there just, well, aliens lol.

So long as fellow furs are given a haven, I don't mind. This is the only clan that I found that even mentions furries, so I'd like for this to be a bit of a safe haven. If you'd rather have others, I could always create another clan specifically for furries, and just have our two clans working together.
