anyone else really hate those ghetto triceps missile slots?

I don't know. Seems a better idea than Popeye forearms.

Popeye forearms would intercept more fire, at least. I guess I would have preferred a tacked on box on the shoulder plate, hitbox expansion and all, to this cram lrm graphics on any flat surface approach. Just looks cheap and tacky. And the ARC looks too pretty to use cheap mall cosmetics.

It's not like the geometry actually changes much here though. The bulge on the tricep is there whether you take a missile or not.

My only visual complaint about these things is the way they handle smaller SRM packs on the arms - the forearm packs always have six tubes, they just get plugged up in pairs. It's super lame, and the reason I had to run 6-packs instead of smaller launchers that might otherwise have been a more optimal choice.

Well that's a kick in the nuts. No way to grab the files on a thumb drive elsewhere?

3G wifi blows but what you gonna do when you dont have DSL, Fibre or Cable available and want to play MWO.

Saw that there was a grab bag event this weekend so im gonna take a trip to a mates house lugging my large CoolerMaster case and download the patch there .

Oh and i love the look of the Tempest with the "Stay Indoors" signage...

I'd just lug a thumb drive over there and copy his game files. Should just be able to copy them over and, at worst, cancel the patch and run the repair tool.

I did not invest in Archers, but I would like to see any with Lore-based unit schemes like the DCMS Rasalhague Military District camo I posted in the Rifleman camo thread :) . That one was fun to recreate.

I second this. I love seeing some lore based unit schemes.

Speaking of which, is anybody else kinda disappointed that there's no hound's head(Kell Hound's insignia) anywhere on the Tempest? I mean I guess if they ever get decals in game, but it seems like a missed opportunity to me. Even putting the triangle outline itself would have been better than what they did.

I am aware of that (and thought I said as much). It's not about hitboxes...it's about it looking like crap.

Ok, just to encourage people to show us your Archer pictures, here is a prize:

Following the same rules than the last Bishop contest for the Rifleman, the picture with the most "likes" at the end of the 28th of this month (March), will receive a basic Phoenix Hawk pack or whatever mech pack of 20 $ or less value.

Same rules as Bishop contest, so go on and keep posting!

does this include posts form earlier? Also is there a way to get my steam screen shots to look like Kira Onime's picture?

Of course, as long as these post follow the rules of the last contest: only one picture per post (if you want to add others apart of the contest one add it as spoilers).

Anyway, in case of doubt, follow Bishop's contest rules for the Rifleman.

Copy/paste from his contest:

- only ONE paint job entry per person. If you post multiple, please do so as Spoilers, with only your entry visible. Otherwise your entry will be disqualified.

- Vote by "liking" the post of whichever paint job you like. You can vote on as many entries as you like.

- At the end of the 28th of March (10 PM GMT) the votes will be counted and we'll have a winner.

Not sure, I don't use Steam for more than launch a game (not MWO), so I don't know anything about its other functions...
