I appreciate PGI trying to make the game more objective based, but the current Conquest mode is just pushes it over the limit. On big maps, you can't win unless the whole team splits off and start capping everything. Which is what PGI set out to do. But you know what? It's boring. And people STOP playing boring games.
And Conquest mode now is ill suited for Assault mech pilots, especially on big maps. Their viable option is to walk to the central cap, cap and hold it for the team cause they are not mobile enough to run around capping. And when the dust settles, he might find that it's just him and another legged mech on his team left with one cap to his team and 2 caps to the enemy team with both team at low number of points. So a 50kph assault and a legged mech now has to do a mech walking simulator around the map while EVERYONE else just stares at them crawl to the next cap points. 10 minutes later, the points finally reach 750. And everyone now wished they had picked the other game mode. BORING
P.S. Conquest mode works in games like Battlefield because they have respawn mechanics, which MWO doesn't
