Whirlpool Lemming Scrub

I am (and many others are) utter slaves to the whirlpool effect – Its basically a slight variation of the Nascar effect.
We start the match from our spawn points and the Nascar mode engages.
Depending on the map, both teams either circle each other because everyone is trying to flank and nobody wants to be the anchor, or one team circles the other in a high tech game of cowboys and native Americans (Is this politically correct?)
What started out as an across map engagement always (for me) whirlpools down into a sub 100m bust up not matter what weapon system is being fielded.
I've tried to break the cycle by hanging back and using my weapons at optimum range but because the fighting usually takes place around a small area with people popping in and out of cover its difficult to get shots on target with FF because of all the face hugging that’s going on.
Most of the time though, even when I've started the match with every intention of operating at optimum range I still get drawn in by the whirlpool effect and end up face tanking.
On a side note – I always run Euro and NA servers and everyone Nascars ACW. Do the players on the Asia/ Pacific servers Nascar in the opposite diection?

I absolutely agree - and I have pretty much every mech that can do it.
However, its the discipline I lack. Its must be an "old age, stuck in my ways" issue ☺

When it comes to mid-range though, I can make others weep.

I wonder if any player has made a D&B track using MWO sounds? Personally I lack the creativity and technical know how.
Anyone?

I was trying to think of an eye catching, witty title. I guess I failed

I also have to lean up close to the screen to see distant targets - my wife says it looks like Im praying to the computer when in fact Im praying for a good score.
I believe you started as a T1 so good play is expected ☺
I, on the other hand, am a product of the ever rising XP bar so I bring my deficiencies along with me
