I am one of those guys that just can't get the Gauss Rifle to sing right. I get the idea, I just can't get it to work for me! Not a fan of PPC either. That just about scratchs every meta build I can find out there so I took it upon myself to find an alternative build for the Heavy Metal to grind some credits in Random Pugs while still enjoying what should be the ONLY warhorn in the game. I remember when it was special lol.

So I call this the Heavy Metal GRS build (or Gauss Rifle Scrub).

Heavy Metal GRS Build

It consists of the normal armor tweeks, Endo, and Dbl Heatsinks, STD 270 engine. The weaponry still packs quite the punch using x2 AC/5's with plenty of ammo and 3 Large Lasers.

Although early on when it was first released I loved this Mech. In the latest patch versions its really got a bad go. I could rarely do much damage at all and felt very awkward. Once geared out with the above spec I feel its back to keeper status as the first match I was pushing 700 damage!

Hope it helps someone else love their Heavy Metal again for those other Gauss Rifle Scrubs like me.

This is the build a lot of people were using since the release of the HM... Nothing new here =P

Plus the STD 270 make you very slow. What i run :

You can fly for ever (well in fact it doesn't work), it's one of the Assault who can pack 5xJJ, so why don't taking them ?
