Ooo, tough question. I love me some PPCs for sound, and look etc. but I am pretty bad with em so can't call em my favorite. Guess I'd have to go with small pulse lasers or even small lasers, because that's what I run on some of my best performing mechs including my 2 locust 1Es I am sorry but there is no greater sound and feeling than that pathetic pew, pew, of 6 SLs being repeatedly shot into the back of a DIre, and especially when that locust has a std engine. Just something about that primitive (better word?) combination that makes me smile every time. No other weapon/mech can do that for me. Its just the best.

So much fun to drop lights dancing around you with a well timed shot.

I do like the AC 10, but it's only really seemed worth running after the ammo boost and Gauss nerf.

I also like the Medium laser for lasers. It is very vanilla, but it is exactly what I think of lasers. Stack em up, peel off their armor, and drop in your large AC shell while the steam rises from your heat exchangers. (now I kinda want to build an AC20 and bunch of ML build).

IS AC/20, I love it. I'll put that thing just about anywhere I can fit it. A close 2nd would be IS UAC/5s.

About the only thing that comes close Clan side is the LBX 20. I love the BOOM that thing makes when it fires. It's just not nearly as effective, but damn if it doesn't sound intimidating. I like the LBX 20 for that, but for effectiveness, the Gauss or Ultra 20 have to be my favorite Clan side weapons.
