I used to play this game a lot,but the teams the matchmaker is throwing at me lately is keeping me more and more away from the game.
I can't take it more than an hour anymore.
I want a 1vs1 public queue. So i don't have to do 600-1300 dmg per match anymore and still lose because the other 11 guys on my team do jack ****.
1vs1 queue for the sanity of your players, thx.

Not ganna happen. Find a friend and do private matches, or ask in a match if someone has premium time and wants to do some 1v1s with you.

What makes me lose all hope in this game, is that mass blobs of mechs close together simply beat skill, no matter what. You can't just be the best MWO player in the world and take on 3 madcats with a hellbringer, you get ****** regardless of how good you are, cus enemy has moar weapons.

I took on a Timber Wolf, a Cataphract, and a Highlander mostly solo in my own TBR once. Dropped the enemy TBR, dropped the Cataphract, got what would've been a KMDD on the Highlander though I didn't score the final blow. One of the best times I've ever had in MWO, really. Not often you get to feel like quite that much of a superhero.
There were extenuating circumstances, and I was not in good shape afterwards...but no, three-on-ones are not guaranteed losses regardless of player skill. If you're being threeby'd by equally skilled pilots...then yeah, you're going to lose. Tank math. But that's not always the case, eh?

I've got to agree with OP, mm has been deteriorating a bit after the weekend, leaning more towards steamrolls again.
There also have been more clueless players. Which means we're either getting new players, or some old people have returned. Either case is good.
Well, maybe one day we'll be able to choose from three queues:

Well, maybe one day we'll be able to choose from three queues:
- Solaris queue: 8 man free for all and lance vs lance (4vs4) battles in (relatively) small arenas lasting 10 mins max which award kills and damage more than scouting and other actions. Players would be matched on weight class for free for all and 1/1/1/1 for lance vs lance.
- Team queue: What is now quick play queue, minus skirmish. Damage and kills would be awarded much much less, but team based interactions like protection, scouting and capping would be awarded a lot more.
- CW: well, it's CW.

More people in an area is just a skill multiplier. You can still beat a group of players if you are just doing really good and they aren't, but if that group is coordinated in some way and is comprised of competent players you'll get shot to pieces, and shouldn't you be? You might be able to take any one of them on in a 1v1 and win but in a 1v3 their massed abilities, damage, and armor overpower you. It could be said that the ability to focus fire as a team is a skill, perhaps in a situation like that you should have at least paired with a buddy to take out that group of three.
I must ask how you would suggest the game allow you to beat 3 people working together just because you are more skilled than any one of them in particular.
I know its a brag, but I've been able to win in a 1v7 situation as an Executioner vs a 12 man team in group queue before while fighting multiple enemies all at once. It was lucky for sure, but the fact that I won in this situation invalidates your statement.

"Ho man, check out day guy's skill." the T5's will say as the T1 player is running around like flash, AC's hitting harder than the hulk on a meteor.
By comparison, the T1's player skill is instantly boosted so that he can transcend into the Aether and perform magical arts.
