As per titule i came out of retirement to ask the game developers if this is in their plans very soon or not. With the extreme success from PVE on Armored Warfare from Obsidian i suspect that most of the players that left this game would come back to a story or mission based AI killing coop mission the size of a lance or Star.

The possibilities are your choice PGI if you're interested, if not i lost nothing in asking.

Your move gents.

But the game is online, and if you think about it the best ai's that can be developed will never reach the uniqueness and powers players have.

If they do put in deeper missions of say a city of scrubs from planet Sarbus 5 being attacked by pirates, and it needs to be defended or its looted, why not have players play both sides.

All of a sudden its more real, you don't know what your facing, can't just read some guide about how to do it online or what triggers after blowing up what, it all happens in any order. The attackers could swarm in in fast mechs, huge assults, they could be sniping in the hills for ages bombarding you, or all of the above.

Try to make some battle plan about attacking or defending the city, and everyone else on your team could be doing anything, they could be awesome, they could idiots and die real fast, or run away from where they are needed.

Thank you for your reply and civility, but I'm not "back" per se, still your information is the reply i wanted to my question, if not a disappointment (not because of you mind). I've heard that before of the "we will have it in the future" line and that was part of the process that lead to the mass exodus from myself and the old guard away from the game. When they actually have something real i will surely try it out and give it a chance, until then Armored Warfare is enough for me.

If i had been playing for many years I would probably feel the same. I think that Russ talking about AI is really inspiring, but I also know software development well enough to "curb my enthusiasm". I started playing EVE because I thought it could be Freelancer MMO... i was wrong... I started playing MWO because I hope that it will be MW5 someday...and I could see that happen in 3-5 years. Until then I will enjoy MWO for what it is.
