What happened with the ability to show Founder's Tag in game? Does PGI hate us so much that they no longer allow us to show the world that we invested billions in their game?

As a Founder and a loyal Davion, I demand my Founder's Tag back.


update:

there's another bug. if you switch the arm lock via options menu during a match, your founder's tag will not show up on your next match.

I was wondering why it vanished, I hope it comes back as one of the incentives in getting a founders package was this
"Founder's Tag - sets your status apart from the crowd & get noticed in-game and on the forums."

We deserve an explanation for this crucial missing feature. None of the patch notes say anything about the removal of Founder's Tag.

Yep... plus its a small bug that doesn't really affect gameplay

the bug still exist. if you toggle the arm lock on/off during gameplay, the next time you play a match the founder's tag will disappear (cause it defaults to 'dont show founders tag').

Urm its been a box in the options for about a month... Or at least a few weeks.

There was a post about it somewhere, known bug etc....

actually i think if you switch ANY option during a match it disappears...the first thing i do when i log in is go and toggle the founders tag on...seems to stay on at least till i log out

even if I toggle the founders tag on, it is not shown in the beginning of a match ....

As long as I go and make sure "display founders tag" is checked, it is shown. There is an annoying bug that causes it to turn off though.

its turned off whenever you switch arm lock thru options menu during a match.

WE invest for this game - im for no founder tag option which dissapear every restart - i want the old display back for everyone

How many times are you turning off arm lock?

I've had my tag steadily for months (or as long as it's been since arm lock was added, when I immediately turned it off).

The only option I've changed since then is turning off the "3rd person at start of match" option, and my founder tag remained on. Throttle Decay, Arm Lock, and 3rd Person off; Founders Tag on. Never had it turn itself off on me.

I used to think it was because they didn't want us to see how small the playerbase really is (ie: matches full of Founders only).

You must be the only one with the tag for months at a time, since every other Founder I've asked about this has the same issue.

If you change ANY setting while IN GAME the tag will vanish on your next drop. You will then have to re-'tick' the show founders tag when your in mechlab.

TL:DR, DON'T CHANGE SETTINGS WHILE IN-GAME.

I find it hard to find this very upsetting when they already insulted us a long time ago by offering pay mechs with better bonuses than our founders mechs. You'd think they'd at least give our founders mechs a little boost to make up for it.

Let's face it, we founders just aren't appreciated anymore.
