I am still puzzled why there has never been an Atlas variant (normal or hero) with ballistics on each side torso and no missiles, allowing for dual AC20 builds or quad AC5.
I think it would be a nice addition to the game.
Using smurfy and a King Crab as template I have come up with this loadout and it fits (need to shave off a little bit of armor on the arms and the legs but nothing major):
- center torso: medium laser x2, STD engine 350 w/ 4 heatsinks
- left torso: AC20
- right torso: AC20
- left arm: 1+1/2 tons AC20 ammo
- right arm: 1+1/2 AC20 ammo
- left leg: AC20 ammo x2
- right leg: AC20 ammo x2
- head: AC20 ammo
- upgrades: endo steel, double heat sinks
The hardpoints would be:
- CT: 2 energy
- LT: 2 ballistic
- RT: 2 ballistic
- LA: 1 energy, AMS
- RA: 1 energy
It will not even be hard to realize, just take the right torso of the Atlas D, mirror it and paste it on the left side, the energy and AMS hardpoints are the same of the S variant.
Here is how it should look more or less.

If you want an IS 'Mech capable of carrying a pair of AC-20s or quad AC-5s, simply buy the King Crab or the Mauler. Easy.

Sadly there is no Atlas with that setup. Sure Pgi could invent a variant but there isn't a big need.

I don't like the idea of stuff that never been around in battletech universe.
