I was wondering if the special/hero mechs do they come with an XP bonus? Since, as far as I know they come with a 30% cbills bonus.

No XP bonus, just the C-Bills

Only champions come with XP bonuses, and they are pre made standard variants , so other than the XP bonus, and the fact you might use that pre made build that they have there isn't much reason to buy them.

The only real reason one might want them is in the beginning you might want an XP grinding mech to get a lot of GXP on the long run... but if you have money to spend on such a mech you might as well invest in mech XP to GXP conversion on a special weekend.

Lol, there are worse things to be ashamed of.
Another thing to add to what has been said above. The +30% XP bonus on the Champ mechs is for both types of XP, not only the mech XP.
If you really need GXP (For unlocking modules or leveling a mech you really dont want to play at all fro example), then using a champ mech is the fastest way to farm that
