We need to be able to see how much damage we absorbed during matches.
This will help new players learn to roll damage and allow teams to see who was not sharing armor.

I kind of like this, perhaps also seeing WHERE you took damage, for instance to see if your torso twisting was affective or if it needs work, to see if you really needed 10 armor in the back, or if you could've gone a little lower.
I like this in spirit. Not absorbing damage in a match may be no fault of yours though, if you're piloting better and positioned well you're naturally going to take less armor, regardless of damage you deal. I think showing it to others may not have as much benefit.

It would be useful if it was used as a factor in determining match score, such as drawing the enemies fire to get them to turn their backs to your allies to help secure a victory. Though, as was mentioned, correct positioning by yourself and your team more often insures victory and with less damage taken and more given. On a personal level I would like to see this stat though.

considering the whole situational stuff that influences that, it might be a good idea to turn this into a "score" instead of the flat value. because flat values are always going to be missused for evaluation purposes.

I'd also like to see the amount of team damage taken as a line item on the score screen.
