Curiosity Question: Would the answer remain the same if the Meta was NOT Laser Vomit?

(Just curious to see who's criteria is based on current Meta, and who is going to "let it ride" regardless of the fickle mistress that is the Meta. So please don't take this as an "anti comp/meta" attack.)

Good question! Given the Awesome 8Q is on my list and I run it with 3 PPC's in as close to stock as viable, yep, my picks aren't changing. I like PPC's, and while I fully understand that many stock builds wouldn't work in a game like this, it is fun when you make something similar to stock work - it feels "right" in a way.

I really want to choose my ebon Jaguar a variant but I might have to go with my custom grid iron. Damn....or maybe my mauler...or shadow cat.... Nope...it's definitely my ebon Jaguar a variant. We have been through too much together. Ebon Jaguar it is.

actually a Supernova, but since it doesn't exists, I guess we talk about existign MWO mechs, then: prime NVA with just a tc1 added because i liove tis mech even if not the most efficient. (actually horrible heat inefficient)

Would also pick MDD

4 LRM10 with 27% cooldown reduction, that prime side torso gives 10% cooldown, well worth it, you can't handle more heat anyways, so anything more is excessive

Though it's burst vs sustain, different playstiles. Also I like TAG more than Narc, and you can even brawl ballistic boats in this build

If we're talking in lore, then it'd be the AWS-8Q.

In this game, currently? BL-6-KNT Wubber It's my best earner/carrying machine currently. Fast enough, mobile, and deadly.

Eh, what the hell. This is my favorite Awesome build. AWS-9QQ Two ER-PPCs, Two Standard PPCs, 19 dubs. It's a direct fire BEAST. Yes the LPL meta does better, but this is my most played mech in the game (on my main account). I've always loved the AWS, always will.

That's a tough one. Probably any one of the Panther variants.

I am very freaking good with that mech for some reason and it has carried me to tier2. Sleeper mech for sure.

that is definitely an interesting side torso. I will keep that one in mind.

I would probably still do 2x 15 and 2x 5 instaid of 4x 10 tho, that saves 1 ton but is a bit harder with modules.

like this maybe: http://mwo.smurfy-net.de/mechlab#i=213&l=ec8dc8a6181d90f1653365e0edb878bbbe9ecb91

(removed the ams, small laser and some armor. Added BAP and small pulse. (could even remove 2 tons of ammo and add ermed with DHS instaid of spl))

Seems like most people prefer tag instaid of narc but thats different playstyles i guess.
I just like narc so they can run but cant hide. Clan narc goes out to 600m so if you got a steady aim you can hit almost as far as tag (750m) but without the facetime.

In the end its all up to presonal preferences.

OK. So the Oxide still trumps my ACH Prime , but I had a little go with this last night. Runs hot as hell and really need to pick your fights and know when to run away.

I think Hunchback IIC(O) (because +30% c-bills is nice) with two UAC20. I think I have had most fun with that one :).
