I've said it before and I'll say it again.

I wish to blast skywards at such a rate my eyeballs tickle my nipples.

Ejecting from ones mech should be a moment.

Yep. Why Catapult drivers are so awesome. Isn't it the crab that can roof eject or it shoots you out the back like it's taking a dump?

My King Crab eject pod has been customized so it ejects out the front to be used as a last ditch projectile. :)

They tried something similar way back in CB(?). I remember looking at downed mechs and the cockpit was "open". The animation was never completed though and they took it out later.

Seeing a UAV launch (with maybe more smoke like a single LRM) at death with no further animation of the mech cockpit itself is acceptable though. Would be cool.

That would be nice for those occasions when you are just running around as a weaponless stick, hiding from the enemy.

Since this actually matters so much ....

+ you avoid giving someone a free kill

Another meaningless stat to have a fetish for...

+ the round can end and noone has to wait 10 minutes for the end-of-round screen.

And on the flipside, most if not all of the whiny ******* will instantly eject, leaving their team down x players. You know, the ones that would currently love nothing more than to DC without punischment at the start of any match that doesn´t for their dream criteria... they way it is now they at least cause the enemy to lose a bullet or 2 in their ToS breaking suicide runs instead of being completely useless..

This all comes down to how repair and rearm is added. Such as medic bill for not ejecting and possibly effect of PSR and other game play mechanics.

Maybe a tier for players that have failed to stay afloat or other such limitations for players that basically AFK, disco or eject from matches.

I'm pretty sure OP was talking about simply adding an animation on death, not adding a whole new ejection mechanic.

With all due respect, this hiorse was shot numerous times, run through a woodchipper twice, burned at the stake for witchcraft, impaled with that same stake jsut in case it was a vampire, and buried at sea in a concrete filled coffin that itself is encased in a sealed lead ball.

Repair and Ream are dead, man, and they´re not coming back anytime soon.. You´re beating the force ghost of a horse that died 2 films ago :D

So, Tier 5, which is ecactly what you deserve to stay if you can´t be arsed to learn teh game or play nice with others. ;)

Yes, but the OP is also not the only one asking for it, it has been a recurring topic for many years now. As has some of the short sightedness displayed by wanting to improve one´s own personal experience as the direct cost of it being detrimental to other´s experience ;)

Having an entire eject sequence would be cool to have. Something to make dying more interesting since you would be watching your pilot eject to survive destruction, instead of watching your mech ragdoll in 3rd person.

I don't know how well that would work for places with roofs.

I think it would go a long way to show that you are in a giant robot, instead of being the robot like currently.

I just wanna fly in the sky and flutter down to sit atop my mech corpse and watch the world burn.

Much akin to the idea of spectating from cap points except from the last location of your mech standing at human height instead.

For mechs with a decent enough torso pivot, I think ejection pods should be a last ditch effort offensive weapon. It could be somewhere between an AC2 and an AC5 round in damage and difficult of course to aim. No longer can a mechanics reduced to a centre torso be considered a worthless battering ram! Now...it's more like a worthless giant smoothbore musket. Of course, in the unlikely event you kill the enemy (and yourself) there should be a unique badge of "Headless Horseman."
