Do you think early adopter awards should go on until release day?

They have been doing early rewards with an expiration date (and multiple dates in the case of the monthly rewards) for over two years. They are unlikely to change now.

No. And it wouldn't be an Early Adopter award then. It would be a Pre-Order award.
I think its fair that people who put their trust in PGI to deliver a good pack, based on just concept art and basic mech specs, gets a pad on the back.
