because I never bothered to finish the five victory in trials mechs before starting to fill my garage with owned mechs, I've been playing the trial champ battlemaster, which I own one of myself, and have elite skilled it already. So I should be getting the 7% speed bonus with the trial version also... instead I'm getting a 7% speed penalty with it. Top speed should be 64.5 without the skill, and instead its 60 (well 59.985 but they round up) with the skill.

If the speed skill is reversed, what about all the others ?

Are you sure it's not just an engine of a different rating?

Or it could be that... yeah that'd do it... never ran it with the stock engine, I always rip standards out and replace with proper rating XLs for the tonnage.

The 2C(C) comes with a 315Std Engine which sets its topspeed to 60kph without speed tweak so everything seems to be in order.
