I would like to upgrade my pre-order, but don't want to go spending the money if the upgrade won't actually count. I doubt they would keep my money if it did go through but I wasn't technically allowed the upgrade, but I don't want to deal with the hassle of asking for a refund.

What are you wanting it to count towards? The extra grabs on the event are good for any level of package.

Yes you can upgrade to any level. The only thing you won't get is the pre-order early adopter bonus cammo pattern for the mechs in the package you upgrade to, the early adopter cammo will only be unlocked on the mechs that were purchased during the initial early adopter period.

Yes I order the basic package before the deadline and the hero after.

I thought colours once unlocked are available for all, and patterns for that type and as colours and patterns will be unlocked for the standard package then I can use them on the hero.
