Not really, there's no need to use CASE for ammo explosions in the first place because ammo explosions are so rare that it's rather silly to waste tonnage & slots (even at only 0.5 tons and 1 slot) to mitigate them. If ammo explosions mattered more then CASE would see more use, but since they don't matter you pretty much never see CASE used.

It is useful if you have a torso mounted gauss rifle and you're running a STD engine, but that's pretty much it.

Yeah dude that's how it works.

Never use CASE it's a waste of tonnage.

I'm pretty sure that I've had almost max ammo when it has happened before, but I thought about this and that's why I haven't reported it as a bug yet.
