Warhammer, Marauder, Black Knight, Grasshopper. Please rate them 1-4, best to worst in your opinion and what you feel the best build for each is. This isn't about overall; if there's 1 variant of a mech that's amazing then that's what you're rating. Think of it as the best of each being rated relative to each other.
You don't have to rate ones you don't have but if you've got a strong opinion on one then throw that in.
Don't have to get into a big debate over why, just gathering up how people feel about those 4.

Kill it, eff it, date it, and live with it.
For the actual answers, I'll defer until later.

I agree with you, but that's where we are right now with the quirks.

Grasshopper
Marauder
Black Knight
The BLKs' terribly low hardpoints preclude me from rating it highly.

From Meta Perspective, I'd probably agree with this, though I suppose the WHM/MAD are pretty interchangeable in that regard.
Of them, the only one's I personally do well in is the MAD-3R. But I don't confuse preference with perspective. I think you got it pretty much right.

2nd. BK. Its the Hopper without jets but even more tanky to compensate.
3rd. Hammer. It is nearly as tanky as the BK but has more diverse builds. If the BK 7 didn't have PPC quirks I would probably move the Hammer up. As it is I can run a respectable PPCs build on the BKs and so the Hammer doesn't add much for me other than being 5 tons lighter. Frankly, they are neck and neck.
4th. Mad. Great builds, some with jets, good quirks. It ought to be in first place. Alas, it seems like everyone focuses that right torso and I get neutered faster in a Marauder than any of the four listed. That may be my failure as opposed to the mech's but, that's my ranking and I'm sticking to it.

Yep, and the 3R is the one that I included (edit with builds expost facto). 3xAC5 for me with 4ML as back-ups is a solid performer. Its ridiculous durability make it a staple of my CW (FW) deck. I love the Warhammers, but hate the state of PPCs, but that is not why I give the MAD the edge. WHM is more reliant on packing an XL which is a no-no against strong focus fire teams and especially in CW. I much prefer playing the 'hammers over the Marauders though.

- Grasshopper (higher mounts, jumpjets, sufficiently XL-safe)
- Black Knight (no high mounts, no jumpjets, often dies to XL)
- Warhammer (side peaks well, but huge hitboxes, no jumpjets, not incredibly XL-safe)
- Marauder (dakka builds outclassed by laservomit, RT easily removed, laservomit builds have painful low mounts, not XL safe)

I only have that one and can't speak about the others.

2: Grasshopper (Its only #2 because I don't have the Warhammers, I bought the Kodiaks and Phoenix Hawks instead)
3: Warhammer (Its #3 because I have the Black Knight)
4: Black Knight, Its a slick looking ride, but sadly unless you're running a 3 LPL/3MPL BK or all MPL (Chain fired) build it just plain sucks.. runs way too hot, even with DBL HS.

2.Marauder (8/10) good, only because of ridiculous structure, take it away and its still has good hitboxes so on good ground.
3.Black Knight (7/10) low hardpoints means its only good in certain situations and on flat ground vs target on equal height.
4.Grasshopper (6/10) derpy, quickdraw does it just as well if not better.

Do the GHRs' superior hardpoint locations and maneuverability not give it enough of an edge over the BLK?

Pretty well all equal to me, though maybe I would put the hopper over the Black Knight based on how I play both mechs. The Marauder is sort of out there on it's own, it plays differently.
The durability of the Marauder has been noted by others. It does take some attention while playing it to extract that durability out though.
The other two are laser barf(duh) but I find the Grasshopper to be the under rated mech here. The thing quietly got me 400 dmg games over and over with some higher, but rarely lower(outside of team derp wipes) it is deffinatly a more "stay the course" type mech, it runs hot. It has some good mobility. You can use that to move around the field and take shots at enemy out of position pretty well, but it is too hot to capitolize on the front lines to punish a bad enemy move for long. It does much better when you stay mobile. So, no peek a boo.
I find the Black Knight slightly more sustainable, mostly because of how the loadouts generally go, so it tends to be a little more effective then the hopper if the team decides it is going to "defend" more.
Really though, based on fighting against all four of these, they are all pretty well on equal footing. I honestly find the Warhammer the easiest to disarm, though it is a tough cookie to take down completely, whereas the others are more well rounded, harder to disarm completely but tend to get destroyed by the time you get that far anyway.
I mean the four are in pretty good shape. How come no Pharact or Orion? Oh yeah, we weren't looking for "which one is the most mediocre" lol.

What's your "hot" GHR build? The old 2LPL+5ML build definitely doesn't run hot.
