Being an American is pretty embarrassing sometimes...

Is that correct? You live in the People's Republik of Boulder? I'm almost embarrassed to say I live in Aurora, if I lived up there I'd definately not advertise it. :D

LOL!

Yeah, I'm back in school so I'm up here, the town has changed a lot, for the worse, since I got my degree in '04 but it's still pretty chill.

If this crosses some forum etiquette let me know but we should get a drink sometime... Players Club? Posted Image

I'm totally down with that. Gotta find a central location (I'm basically Smokey Hill and E-470) and a good time (I drew the on-call shift this week and not next, but the week after next). I'm practically chained to my desk waiting for a call. ;)

My "job" is sitting at a desk waiting for a call so I feel that. I have a lot of time to play Forum Warrior Online.

No pressure, just send me a PM sometime, you seem like you'd be more interesting to hang with than most... given my confirmed addiction to MWO and shared stock mode view point lol!

I get out that way once a year just about (around Thanksgiving) to go visit some buddies that moved out there to get into the GREEN industry.

Next time i head that way we should find two computers and duel it out CD! lol

First time i ever got out there, drove into Aurora and saw these flat, rancher house in developments and i honestly thought i was in Deleware.

Left4Dead, either one.

Mass Effect 3 Multiplayer.
Becaues it's cooperative vs AIs and some of the team mates are really SO stupid ... Posted Image.

That one too.
I play Mass Effect 3 multiplayer and both Left4Dead games on high difficulty levels just to avoid the worst players.

Star Wars: The Old Republic.
Way too much douche-baggery in raids and too many afkers in pvp for me to tolerate.

None of them that I've played, although I'm sure there's some out there.

I think the mechlab really puts it over the top. It's one thing for a player to be bad, but another thing entirely for the player to be bad, and equipped so poorly that they don't stand a chance. Nothing like checking out your teammates and one of them is rolling around in an assault that's gotta be at least 30 tons underweight...

Planetside 2. MWO isn't anywhere close to that level of pugderp.

Slain! And darkest dungeon are the games to go (with mwo) atm. And if i am not tortured enough i'll give myself a short walk in hotline miami 1 & 2, try it. After that you enjoy even the crapiest pugteams...

Half-Life Opposing force and Resident Evil 0.

When your teammate AI always block your path, doesn't want to stay still when ordered, and bad AI pathway when they always stuck. At least in Resident Evil 0 you can switch control your partner so not that big deal. But in Half-Life Opposing Force where bad AI teammates become terribly annoying.

MWO isn't all that bad... Read a little lore and then pretend you are in a leaderless, rag-tag, conscripted revolutionary unit...

Makes winning a little bit sweeter.

(Edit: IF you can pretend OR you are a role-play buff)

Not sure why, but the OP made me laugh. I mean I totally get where you are coming from - we've all had those matches - but rather than be dismayed or exasperated, now I just find what I call provocatively bad players on my side amusing.

My personal favorite of late was the two guys in Atlases DDCs who I ran across occasionally in group drops last week (haven't seen em since). What they did, match after match is go off and shut down until the fight was well underway. Then they came out guns a blazin' in what I presume they thought was a sound tactic to get lots of kills on heavily damaged mechs. I never saw them succeed at this. First time I encountered them (Grim) we stomped the reds so badly that by the time the Atlas twins arrived to the fight, I don't think they even managed to hit a single target. By the end of the evening, the last time we got stuck with them everyone -including some reds- knew what they were up to and we all ridiculed them mercilessly. They stuck to their plan though...and died to enemy Cheetahs along with the rest of us.

Pathetic? Sure. No point in getting bent over it though. Not everyone plays well with others. Nothing for it.

I don't play any other online games so I don't know what I am missing.

Bwahahaha. Sounds familiar. I think that may have been my unit. (FCT?) We tend to run clone IS mechs such as Atlas, Centurions or Commandos and do whatever the **** we want over Skype, occasionally using the push to talk to call targets/positions etc. It's more fun than chasing the meta, and doing the same damn things on the same damn map, over and over again. I get that feeling of accomplishment when an unorthodox plan comes together
